How I Lost 15 Pounds in 7-Days

This is my friends story….her experience with TAVALA TRIM & CONTROL that I thought it was worth sharing! No doubt there are others out there that would love to lose weight, rid the ‘bloat’ and begin their journey towards their ideal weight. The story below is her journey:

“This picture is what I felt like back in early January. The new year had begun, I was over tired from all the holiday sugary foods, from too many parties & holiday ‘cheer’ and too much stress. When I am stressed I eat….most of the times unconsciously. I prayed for a solution – as I didn’t know how I could do this on my own.

I promised not to set WEIGHT LOSS as a New Years Resolution as every time I have done this in the past, I failed. But that doesn’t change the fact that I was desperate to drop weight and was willing to do almost anything to have that happen.

My friend contacted me January 5th and told me she had just started a new product that she loved, called TAVALA TRIM. She promised it tasted great too- which was a good thing as the last ‘diet’ drink/program I had tried- at her suggestion too, tasted ‘horrible’….like”.’plug your nose, horrible’.

I trusted my friend and agreed to give it a try, especially when she said SHE had dropped 8 pounds in her first week and hadn’t even ‘dieted’….all she had done was to drink this TRIM drink each and every morning! She, like me, has a slow metabolism- so I agreed to buy a 28- day supply. I could have tried a sample that she had offered me, but HECK, I wanted the whole box NOW….with no interruptions in the event the product worked.

This what she shared: Tavala Trim comes in both a drink form (powder, add water to it) or capsule. I opted for the drink, plus she PROMISED it tasted good, almost ‘berry like’.

She then went on to tell me that I won’t believe the ENERGY & FOCUS you get- within minutes of drinking it. Yeah yeah, I thought, now THAT would be a bonus….but I had NO idea what kind of energy she was talking about. What I experienced that you can only find from trying it yourself, is that TRIM gives a BOOST of energy that lasts all day- AND there is no crash! As a matter of fact, I did feel more energy within 20 minutes of drinking my first pack. (Cool, at least you FEEL something- good sign!)

She then told me something that was magic to my ears. EVEN IF YOU DON’T EXERCISE OR ALTER YOUR DIET, you will lose weight. Really? It seemed impossible but here is what I found. First of all, I am an emotional eater and often can not control my carbohydrate or sugar intake. I know it is my weakness. So, when I started drinking 1 TRIM a day I realized that my friend was right- NO CRAVINGS AT ALL….and My Appetite was zilch. unbelievable!! Dramatically suppressed!

I still ate 3 meals a day but they were healthy meals and 1/4 of what I had been eating over the past 6 months. In fact, I had to remind myself to eat! TAVALA- Educating People about Network Marketing

The truth is, the average person on the street, who has never been involved in Network Marketing REALLY does not know what the industry of Network Marketing is. In fact, no work-at-home business is more misunderstood and demonized than network marketing. At it’s best, especially 10 or more years ago, network marketing was seen as unimportant mommy-businesses or something strange uncle Bob does to find his fortune. At it’s worst, network marketing is perceived as being full of greedy snake oil salesmen and shysters. But once you get past the old attitudes and misconceptions, network marketing is a viable way to start a part-time home-based business. The first step to success is to decipher the myths from the truth.

Myth 1: Network Marketing is an illegal pyramid.

Truth: In the illegal pyramid test, the shape of an organization does not determine legality. If it did, most businesses and organizations, including the government would be illegal because all have a pyramid structure.

An illegal pyramid scheme provides no products or services, and pays according to the number of recruits. Legal network marketing programs offer quality products or services that are sold to consumers. Recruiting new members allows for increased income based on the volume of sales, with team sales volume, not the number of recruits, being the important factor in calculating income. Other laws legitimate network marketing companies adhere to include publishing average income statistics, no inventory requirements, and refund options.

Myth 2: Only the guy at the top makes money.

Truth: This argument more accurately describes a “job.” How often does a minimum wage worker become the CEO? In fact, many quality employees never get the advancement and financial rewards their quality of work deserves.

This argument suggests that only the people who get in early make money, which isn’t true. Many ground-floor members make nothing while many who come in years later make a fortunate. The truth is, in good network marketing companies, members can make any amount regardless of where they are in the organization.

Income is related to effort not position.

Further, while members of MLM companies can earn greater and income and rewards based on their effort, they don’t actually change position unless people above them leave the organization. That means, no matter when you join or where you are in the organization, you have equal chance as anyone else to do well if you do the work.

Myth 3: Network marketing uses people.

Truth: Many people who complain about network marketing say they don’t like the idea of “using” their friends and family to make money. However, network marketing doesn’t reward people for using others. Success in network marketing comes from helping others reach their goals. A person cannot earn income off the efforts of their recruits without investing time in helping them earn income, as well. Admittedly, some network marketers see potential recruits as dollar signs, but those people are not as successful as those who are genuine in their effort to help their recruits do well.

Myth 4: Eventually the program will get saturated.

Truth: Saturation is impossible because there isn’t a finite number of people. Everyday new people are born or turn 18, thereby adding new potential network marketers to the pool of prospects. Tim Sales, in Zig Ziglar’s book, Network Marketing for Dummies, offers the best argument against the saturation myth. He asks, “Do you know anyone who doesn’t have a refrigerator? No? That doesn’t stop GE from selling more of them.”

Myth 5: Network marketing doesn’t work.

Truth: According to the Direct Selling Association, in 2015 the direct sales industry, of which network marketing is a part of, grossed $36.12 billion in retail sales in the United States. Further, over 20 million people in the U.S. are involved in direct sales. These numbers indicate that network marketing can work. Success or failure has less to do with network marketing itself, and instead, is determined by the amount effort one puts into their business.

Many bloggers, eBayers and other home business owners don’t do well or quit too, but you don’t hear people saying blogging and eBay don’t work.

Myth 6: No one really gets rich in network marketing.

Truth: It’s true that not everyone succeeds in network marketing. The 2-10% of network marketers earning big money are the same 2-10% who work consistently on their businesses. But getting rich shouldn’t be how network marketing is judged. If getting rich is the measure of success, then many other home and small business owners, and the majority of employees in traditional jobs are big failures. Instead, network marketing should be measured by the number of people who reach their goals. Many people in network marketing find success when they earn enough to stay home with the kids or pay off debt.

Myth 7: Network marketing is a cult.

Truth: There are a few fanatical network marketers, but fanatics exist everywhere. Network marketing companies don’t require fanaticism, and in fact, most work hard to keep its representatives grounded in facts and figures.

Financial Gurus, such as David Bach and Robert G. Allen both recommend network marketing and direct selling in their books, which suggests that network marketing is gaining some respectability in the mainstream business world. Nevertheless, misconceptions and myths persist. Don’t let these false beliefs stop you from considering a network marketing business. You can achieve success in a network marketing venture if avoid common MLM mistakes, gain a solid understanding of the industry, choose a company carefully, find a quality sponsor, and commit time and effort to your business.

When we joined TAVALA we made a list of the quality and kind of TEAM we wanted to create. We believe getting clear and intentional on the qualities of people we wish to attract and work with is very important. Energy doesn’t lie. What we put out is what we get back! So we spent time and made a list of qualities of who we want to join our TAVALA team and posted it and looked at it daily.

The more we got clear and looked at this list, the quicker people began to show up!

We realize that in order to ATTRACT the type of people to our team that possess the leadership qualities we admire-we knew that WE would have to take a look at what WE bring to the TEAM, otherwise there is no way ‘those people’ (aka other leaders) would be attracted to our team, our leadership or our team style. As a result of being intentional, we have created a strong TEAM that offers everything others would ever want in place for fast growth, synergy and support.

Don’t prejudge who you put on your DREAM TEAM list. Times change, situations change and if we didn’t know that we would never have added one particular name. Interestingly enough, one of the people that was on our DREAM TEAM list was with another company when we joined TAVALA, however we kept the vision of being able to work with her ‘sometime’ and in ‘some capacity’ … we held that vision because we admired her integrity, savvy business sense, her drive and self-motivation, her experience in the industry of network marketing and her role as a leader.

She happens to live on one of the Hawaiian islands… and her energy, her vibe and her contacts have shifted our business in a very powerful Aloha way. When I asked one of her team mates who also lives on a Hawaiian island what the word ALOHA means to her, this is what she wrote…and at that moment, I realized that from Day 1 what we have wanted our TAVALA TEAM TO BE was a team that LIVE ALOHA!

This is what she shared:

Aloha is so much more than just a greeting, it’s how we were raised … a way of life. Here in the islands, you’ll always hear locals saying, “Live Aloha,” or encouraging others to show the “Aloha Spirit.” The word “alo” means presence, while “ha” means breath; connect the two and you get “the presence of breath.” That just means those who possess the Aloha spirit are kind, respectful, positive, loving individuals who will always openly accept others as long as they come with a genuine heart as well. To say “Aloha” to someone means you’re acknowledging their presence, you’re greeting them with love and respect.

But to “live Aloha” or to have the “Aloha spirit” means to live your life with kindheartedness and compassion toward one another, to accept and treat everyone as if they are apart of your own family, and to respect yourself, your elders and your family name. Because when it’s all said and done, people will never remember the material things you possessed; instead they’ll remember how you lived – your character, your intentions, your generosity, the things you stood for … People will never forget your heart … And the way you “lived Aloha.”

(In one way this reminds me of the saying that people will never care how much you know but they will always remember how you made them feel!)

When I read that I got goose bumps. I realize what we are looking for is people who LIVE ALOHA and HAVE THE ALOHA SPIRIT!

We are looking for people to join our team, people who want to LIVE ALOHA and bring their best to the team. Positive minded, self-starters and people who want to create change in their world, both of contribution and financially. A Mom’s Dream Duo- Tavala Trim & Tavala Snooze!

Exhibiting at Events with TAVALA

So you’re excited about your TAVALA business and want to share with as many people you can – in an environment where people come to you- rather than you going to them. You take a look at the best venue and realize that exhibiting at Expos, Fairs or Events could be a viable option.

For years I produced events and used to ‘teach’ exhibitors prior to the event how to become an effective exhibitor to get the best value for their time and expense. Before you toss money at any event you may want to check out this information to see if it is a good fit for your ‘wallet’, your time and your personality.

First of all, make sure you match an event that is in alignment with your product or service, that at least means it could be a good venue for your target audience. At least people come into the event with an interest in what you are showcasing. If for example you are selling Make up, Eye Lash Extensions & Facial products at a Men’s expo, then perhaps that would NOT be a good fit, or if you are selling Day Care services at a Senior Expo….probably not so good either. But if you are selling a product, like any of the TAVALA products, then health (body mind and spirit) related event, Women’s events, family oriented events could all be a good match.

Look at the demographics of the event you are looking to participate in. Ask the promoter questions about their past expos. Who came, who exhibited, how many people came, are exhibitors coming back year after year? You get the drift. If you are an opportunity based company, like TAVALA, will there be other Tavala exhibitors at the event or will they offer exclusivity to you? (Go for the latter of the two!)

What is the cost of the space you will be ‘renting’ for the day or days? Some booths or tables are reasonable (Say $40-$250) and some are very costly ($500-into the thousands). Make sure, especially in the beginning of your exhibiting days, that you do not spend too much money for the event as it will put added stress on you as entrepreneurs and distributors. I’ve seen people spend $1500 at a 2-day event and then POUNCE on people as they walk by their booth, fearful that they won’t recoup their investment or sell enough product to cover their costs. They became frantic and rather than SHARE their product or services they were OVER-SELLING.

You want to be well prepared if you do any size event which is why I created an EXPO check off list. Some of the things you may or may not need will be on this list but everything you WILL need will also be on this list. You are investing in yourself and your business- make every moment count!

Realize that some of the BEST prospects are other exhibitors. Make friends. Set up early and walk around before the event starts, or even better, set up early the night before and then walk around that night as people are setting up AND before the event starts. Once the event begins, you will all be busy! Exchange business cards with other exhibitors. Take interest in what they are doing. Some of my dearest friends over the years were exhibitors with other booths and many of them are now working with us with TAVALA.

Seek out others exhibitors who you can refer back and forth to your booths to help get more traffic. (An example may be a chiropractor that loves your product and sells it in her office. You could then refer people who stop by YOUR booth to your friend, who loves our product (edifying both) and is a great chiropractor. Some people call this “Piggy Back Marketing.”

Make sure realize the TIME and ENERGY that goes into being an exhibitor. Since you will be on your feet most of the time also make sure that others are there to help you in the booth. You literally have 10-20 seconds to catch someones attention who is walking by, so make sure your booth is inviting and that there are at least 2-3 people (more if a large show) as people will only hang around for a little while to learn about your product. Most times they will simply walk by if you are caught up in a deep conversation.

Create an attractive and inviting booth space that has character and elicits a feeling of something that relates to your product. Don’t make people WONDER what you are exhibiting, tell them up front with visuals and product. For example, with TAVALA, you’d want to have visuals of the PRODUCTS, as well as POSTERS or BANNERS of different visuals. In the case of Tavala TRIM for weight loss – Remember that pictures tell a 1000 words. Have before and after pictures and the bullet points of BENEFITS your products, service or opportunity can offer others. Make them STOP in their tracks because you have something they WANT and NEED!

As for attire, whatever you do, be comfortable! I remember being a part of a fitness expo and all of us in the booth wore comfortable matching sweatsuits with sneakers. We were very comfortable and were amazed at how many women at the event were wearing very high heels and often times a sexy dress. Those women climbing upon an exercise bike to demonstrate the equipment looked silly and by the end of the day were hobbling on their heels. (For THOSE people, don’t forget to tell them about the Quantum Relief Strips for their tired feet!!!)

Come to think of it, if the promoters has a list of exhibitors prior to the event, send each person an email (if you have their info) or surprise them with a phone call and invite them to stop by your booth to pick up a product that will give them an energy boost during the busy day!

Another thing I think is extremely important, is to ENJOY EVENTS. I know people who are simply shy and would rather be behind the scene than out front in the public. You know those people, they look and feel awkward….you’re almost feel embarrassed for them as few visit their booth. They stand with their arms crossed and with a grumpy look on their face. Those kind of people will detract from business so choose your ‘booth mates’ with care!

Last but not least, even more important than having INVENTORY and SAMPLES on hand, is to have a QUESTIONNAIRE that -after the event is over- creates an amazing follow-up data base for you and your team. Promise to follow up OR don’t bother exhibit.

I’ve seen individuals and even companies spend a lot of time and money on their booth and then forget to collect names, or ask only for your name and telephone number for a drawing. For heavens sake, make sure you collect DATA that is important for you and your team for proper follow-up. Here are some questions I would ask on your questionnaires! Take a look at the VALUE of being able to follow-up ‘post event’ and know something pertinent about the person who took the time to fill out the form. Remember, the majority of business will happen after the event. Use a similar form to the abbreviated one below for a drawing- and promise all legible forms will go into the drawing for a 3-day sample of the TAVALA TRIM or 2-pack of the Quantum Relief Strips, or whatever you wish to offer as a free prize. Info you’ll want to collect:

Their NAME, EMAIL and TELEPHONE NUMBER. (ask them to print clearly to be legible)

Done correctly, you will be in front of more people in one day than perhaps, belly to belly in 6 months time. Enjoy and capitalize. I met a friend at an expo well over a decade ago and by I joined his MLM company at the event. My guess is I probably earned him well over $150,000 in commissions during the duration of us being with the same MLM company. These things DO happen at events.
