TRIM…

It’s rare that I hear that a product called “TRIM”, a thermogenic drink (or capsule for that matter) is expensive but on occasion I hear that question or read it from other people’s questions on the TRIM.

“I must comment about the TRIM that I started drinking once a day on Mon. morning Dec. 31st. It is now Sat. Jan. 5th (5 days later) and I have lost 5 lbs, I kid you not!!!! Five pounds!

While I am watching my portion size when I eat, I am not excluding anything from my regular diet except bread. I am absolutely blown away!!!!! And I feel wide eyed and bushy tailed! I ripped through this house this week and got all the Christmas decorations down and put away….I also applied a Quantum Relief pain patch to the small of my back to calm my sciatica down enough to sleep without taking my usual four doses per day of Advil. Meanwhile, I’m feeling good and pretty excited that I’m going to be able to renew my wardrobe soon!

Here is a question that comes up on occasion from people using the TRIM. So what do we do? We ask a friend with a vast knowledge in the field of nutrition and supplementation what SHE thinks, and this is what our friend and colleague, Keli McBride shared with us.

Question: Why do I feel thirsty and ‘dehydrated’ when using the TRIM?

Answer: “Increasing your metabolism the way TRIM does it uses water up quickly to burn fat so you require more. With regard to metabolism, water helps the body to burn the calories it takes in through eating. With dehydration, your metabolism slows down. … A study showed that increased intake of water promotes body weight loss through decreased eating and fat loss via lipolysis.”

This is a great answer from Keli and she decided to take it a step further by doing some additional information from a website.

Then I found the below information on a website…….

The Link Between Dehydration and Metabolism

When people are trying to lose weight and shred fat their main goal to long-term weight management should be to raise their metabolism (rate in which your body uses energy).

What most people fail to realize is that their hydration level directly affects their metabolism.

Water is involved with almost every biological function in the body, so therefore your body’s metabolism slows down in a dehydrated state. When your body does not have adequate amounts of water, your calorie burning machines (muscles) slow down dramatically. Over 70% of your muscle consists of water, so when they are not fully hydrated their ability to generate energy is severely inhibited.

Another important factor to understand is – your body’s ability to utilize fat as fuel is also restricted when you are in a dehydrated state. Combine these two factors and you have one slow metabolism!

The list of negative side effects to your metabolism due to dehydration is endless. The effect of dehydration is often overlooked, and in fact it should be one of the priorities of any healthy eating plan.

Taking in a sufficient amount of water, is the first step in assuring your metabolism is working at its optimal level.

Remember…your body can’t distinguish between hunger and thirst, so when your tummy is rumbling and you think it’s in need of food, it could just be telling you that it needs some water. Have a big glass of water first and if you are still hungry 15 minutes later then have something to eat. If you’re thinking my mouth gets dry when I’m thirsty, that’s how I can tell, then give this a thought…once your mouth gets dry and you feel thirsty, you are already dehydrated…therefore your body and your metabolism is already in a sluggish dehydrated state!

I hope that makes you think twice about how much water you intake each day! I find that the best way to make sure you are getting at least 2 litres, is to fill up a 2 litre bottle first thing in the morning, and make sure it has gone by the time you go to bed. Just remember you will need more on the days you exercise and in the hot weather!” – end of research and quote.

Another rule of thumb….. drink 1/2 ounce of water for every pound you weigh. (see example to the left, also stated: Drink half your body weight in water!)

Example: If you weigh 150 pounds drink 75 ounces of water per day. If you are active and sweat a lot, drink more!

Why do some people experience fatigue when they first begin taking the TRIM?

QUESTION: WHY ARE SOME PEOPLE TIRED WHEN THEY FIRST BEGIN TAKING THE TAVALA TRIM?

This question was recently asked to Keli McBride, a leader on our Team who has 23 years experience as a corporate trainer for a nutritional supplement company. Keli has quickly become the ‘go to person’ when questions arise, due to her vast expertise in the field of health, nutrition and supplementation. Since she used to train both doctors and professionals in the medical field, as well as consumers, her unique way of making things simple to understand is appreciated.

QUESTION: WHY ARE SOME PEOPLE TIRED WHEN THEY FIRST BEGIN TAKING THE TAVALA TRIM?

In her own words…..

“In my personal opinion when we increase the rate at which we break down stored fat and sugar we are putting a great demand on our cells to work harder and at a faster rate, which could lead to fatigue. Also, the body is being bombarded with the stored fat and sugar and that can feel like detoxing.

Any kind of detox is difficult for the body to go through. As a result, the body tires easy throughout the day and requires a lot of sleep at night. It is important, therefore, to rest when it needs it to speed up the cleansing and healing process.

Low blood sugar levels can occur in cases when the body is detoxing from high doses of sugar.

Weakness and fatigue are another couple of very common symptoms of detoxification. The main reason why they occur is that once the body detoxes, it shifts its energy to the cleansing and healing process. MY TAKE ON THIS:

I totally believe this may be the reason for fatigue. One thing I’d also like to add is our body does a great job at providing a ‘storage’ for toxins and it does that by creating FAT CELLS. When your body detoxifies, you will no longer need the FAT and your cells will release the toxins and you will lose significant inches. (Especially belly fat as that fat protects our internal organs)
