I grew up in the FAT PHOBIC era and steered away from eating foods with a high fat content- EVEN good healthy fats like what avocados and olives provide. This was the same era when packaged foods became popular and everything FAT-FREE became a popular choice. The crazy thing is people have been getting fatter and have poorer health eating low or zero fat foods! One reason is in order to make the foods taste appealing they are added more SUGAR!
