Meet Cindy Burton – Thank you, Cindy, for sharing your story on how Tavala and the Tavala Trim came into your life. It is inspiring and life changing!

In Cindy’s own words!

“Well I finally decided to share my story of how God brought Tavala into my life.

I have lupus which is hard to cope with most days. I was in a very depressed state of mind due to not being able to work any more, not feeling like getting up and doing anything productive, etc. etc.

I found myself sitting in a dark living room just staring and getting more depressed every day. One Sunday I went to church even though I really didn’t want to but that is just what we do. Our pastor spoke about turning over to God the negative things that control our minds and let God handle it.

What controlled my mind at that time was my weight and the way I was feeling all the time. I turned it over to God and asked him to show me and bring me out of this horrible state I was in.

Three days later, Darlene Carson, a long time friend posted a photo of her weight loss on Facebook. I knew in my heart that God just gave me my answer. Darlene had tried twice to get me to try the product and sign up as a member but I told her “NO” (very emphatically).

 

 

 

 

I joined Tavala and bought the Builder’s Box because that is what Darlene suggested I do. I have lost 38 lbs. since September 9, 2017. I no longer sit in a dark living room all day. I’m not depressed and I’m building a great business that is going to help us financially. Plus I plan on going on the Tavala cruise in November.

So you’re involved in the profession of Network Marketing? Great. Good decision.

When you began did you sit down and think about the IDEAL person you want to attract to your team or did you simply tell EVERYONE who was within 5 feet of you or in your data base?

If you did not consciously decide who you are looking for perhaps you have a team that has a variety of people : from the Wanda Whiners, the Debbie Downers, the Ingredient and Product Gurus to the mlm junkies that jump from company to company- to the true entrepreneur who is committed to building a team and makes things happen.

Without focus or better yet, being clear on who you want to work with you’ll most likely end up with some of every kind of personality. However CAN hone in what you desire on your team by doing a few simple things.

So grab a pen and make your list.

Here is something I’d love to share that has worked for us.

If you aren’t clear on who your IDEAL distributor (or member, or rep) looks like…. get quiet and LIST the ideal attributes of that person.

When I first did this I was impressed with how CLEAR my vision was on who I wanted to attract – but then I also had to look in the mirror and ask myself honestly if I AM THAT PERSON. OOPS, I was not.

True, the answer was NO. So what did I do? or what will YOU do?

Here is what I did. I became a professional in the industry by educating myself, immersing myself in personal development and learning to become the leader I wanted to attract. If I expect my TEAM to be leaders, what do I have to do? I must become a leader as well.

Once things were in place and I felt like I aligned with my list of my IDEAL distributor … amazing things began to happen and they began to happen quickly…. I began to ATTRACT those people with similar attributes to my list and it happened quickly!

So make YOUR list of your ideal distributor and when you are done, read below to see OUR list of what WE we are looking for on our team.

  • A natural leader
  • Business Builder who has an annual 6 figure+ income goal
  • Positive minded and a Team Player
  • Takes responsibility for their own business
  • Plugs into calls-trainings-events
  • Does 3-way calls
  • Can afford the product
  • Comes in with business pack & trains others to come in with business packs
  • Is on a monthly subscription order- experience pack or equivalent
  • Has high integrity and Fun to be around
  • Has MLM experience and/or is coachable and trainable
  • Laser focused, not easily distracted and is Determined
  • Has no negative distractions- Has a supportive spouse, partner or business partner – OR can make decisions on their own without negativity from others
  • Figures things out
  • Begins trainings of their own as they build their own team
  • Uses up line as a resource-not as an excuse
  • Has believability, a following or existing downline
  • Is a JOY to be around & a good sense of humor- in this industry you will need it!
  • LOVES the industry of network marketing
  • Is a professional- or BECOMES a professional network marketer
  • Has time freedom to do this business
  • Is passionate about TAVALA, the mission and products
  • Is a product of the product…uses them- exudes health and well-being by example
  • Helps with calls/trainings
  • Non-judgmental
  • Computer & tech savvy or access to someone who is
  • A Great Networker!!!!!
  • Organized
  • Has vision for “self” and their team
  • Keeps their word
  • Enjoys sharing new products with others
  • Superb at follow up and follow through

Yes, that is a long list of what is our ideal distributor, but by becoming clear on what we desire, and also being THAT person we wish to attract, we have become leaders in this industry…and you can too!

Did You Hear that Sound . . .

. . . it was the 2-Month Warning for 2017 !

Like in football, the last two minutes can often be the most exciting. And the last two MONTHS of your year can be exciting, too.

But it takes some discipline, some real commitment—maybe even some recalibration and implementing some new systems.

The last 60 days of the year include some holidays which we certainly want to enjoy….and luckily for those of us with Tavala, we have a product called TRIM that gives you energy- suppresses the appetite, reduces cravings, helps you boost your metabolism and lose weight. Last holiday many people actually LOST WEIGHT.

But here we also want to discuss business and we also want to finish the year strong.

What are your goals for the balance of 2017? What do you want to achieve? What do you want to change? What will set you up for a great start in 2018?

You can dig down deep and be a 10 on the “Go-For-It Scale” and knock out your goals. Or, you can slack off and tell yourself you’ll start fresh in the New Year. Which will it be?

What’s stopping you? Most of the time, we’re unclear of the next step and so we don’t take it. If that’s the case, your next step is to get clear on what you need to do. Don’t let confusion and fear keep you from building your confidence as you chip out the last—and perhaps the most important—yardage of the game.

This is YOUR life. This is YOUR game. It’s no one else’s to play. No one will play it for you.

By winning in the last two months of 2017, you’ll be able to practice the Peak to Peek Principle. You’ll be able see further and clearer from the last peak you climb. And in doing so you’ll set even bigger goals for next year. With Jef Welch, a masterful leader for 30+ years in network marketing, joining Tavala new systems are in place and it will be easier than ever to grow and stay on track.

Last December was a winning month for Dave and I in a number of ways—both personally and professionally. For one, we joined Tavala and began sharing the opportunity with people we wanted to work with- and we resigned from a company we had been with for over 10 years. People ask us all the time WHY…and the simple answer is because it was no longer serving us professionally in network marketing and because our reputations were at stake. We simply couldn’t make good on some things that we simply not working. (No one wants to be on a ship that is sinking, especially when you take your ‘family’ that trusts you with you- right?)

2017 has been a transformative year for us and we’re looking to making November and December of this year a Slam-Dunk win! How about you?

If you are involved in network marketing and have a goal of reaching a high rank in your company, you know you can’t do it alone.

One of my favorite up-line sponsors in this industry is a friend who I’ll call Cody. He was a natural networker and had a great personality. He wasn’t flash and slick…he was ‘real’.

He really knew how to capture peoples attention without being too salesy and also made a point to get to know his key leaders ‘as people’ so that he could help each of his leaders reach THEIR goals….. not just his. Getting to know your leaders is crucial. Gratefully so, I was one of his leaders that he identified early on (even when I didn’t believe it) and helped along the way.

The interesting thing is by recognizing leadership qualities in me and taking a keen interest in MY success he actually accomplished his goals….and his goals were massive for a young man in his 30s.

During this time I came to learn some simple things that GREAT leaders do are:

When they ‘enroll’ someone in their business they get to know them and know what their goals are. Also ‘what color’ are they within the color code? By knowing what motivates the individual you’ll be able to speak their language and tune into what is important to them….rather than what is important to you. An example of NOT doing this is assuming because you are a NUMBERS person and love statistics, that you need to talk numbers/stats and only income with your newly enrolled people. Heck no, not to me! That would be an instant turn off and I’d be looking for a quick way to escape the conversation. But if that same person knew that my ‘hot button’ was helping people reach their health and financial goals, and especially enjoyed working with women- then a conversation in those terms would be important.

When they enroll someone in their business they quickly introduce them (by phone, in person or online) to up-line and cross-line people on their team. Most people love being a part of something bigger than themselves and having other people to connect with on the same team is important…and bottom line, more fun! Also this gives them more people to do 3-way calls with…. which is a great way to validate information and edify people on the team.

When they enroll someone and identify that you are one of their leaders, they then take extra care of those people knowing without them reaching their goals and experiencing their level of success they understand that THEY won’t reach their goals!

Recognition is one of the top reasons people join and stay in network marketing. Never take your leaders or team for granted. Making income is also important! Helping your new members earn income their first 30 days -or less- is crucial.

 

Back to my friend Cody.

The company we were with had several rank titles from Member, to Part-time, Full-Time and all the way up to the top level which was called “Rainmaker”.

In order for you to rank advance (as with any mlm company) you need others on your team rank advancing and reaching their goals too.

Cody wanted to become what is called RAINMAKER. In order to reach that rank he needed “4 Full-Time” personally enrolled reps (or members) When I first joined the company he was a budding leader but within 2-3 years he was a top producer.

Lucky for me, I was one of his chosen ‘leaders’ or “Generals” as I often have heard the term. At that time in my career making an additional $5,000 a month income seemed golden! I had never earned that much in a month in my life. Cody on the other hand wanted to earn $50,000+ a month income. By being a great leader and making sure that I- and a minimum of three others reach and maintain a minimum of FULL TIME STATUS, he would reach Rainmaker!

He became the second person in the company to reach this highest rank and only person to maintain it many times over the course of the year…and the only reason that his income decreased and that he left for another opportunity was the company took on a whole new direction ….throwing most of the leaders under ‘the bus’. (Actually picture a speed boat taking a quick curve out of nowhere and people flying off the side of the boat and ending up in the ocean…without a life boat. Yup, that was what happened.)

Now, fast forward many years later my financial goals are more in alignment with what Cody’s were … so we, like other successful leaders, have identified our personally enrolled “Generals” and are working with them closely to make sure they reach the goals they desire, as fast as possible… as well as continue to grow their teams and their personally enrolled leaders. And it goes on an on with great momentum. (Key, never stop enrolling or developing leaders!)

Clearly, Together Everyone Achieves More when you work as a TEAM!

I know the above seems extremely obvious, but we have worked with other up-line sponsors who clearly do not understand it and do not take care of their leaders…. and you guessed it, success rarely happens long term for those leaders.

If you have dreams, goals and aspirations within your company and mlm business make sure you share them with your up-line sponsor and if they don’t ‘get it’ then share with others above them or with the corporate staff. This is a business of duplication and working together. TEAM! It cannot be accomplished alone.

Do you want to be honored, supported and recognized? It starts with each one of us.

Honor, support and recognize those you enroll onto your team is crucial. And if for some reason you cannot support them, then tell your sponsor so that they will not be lost in a crowd of reps. Encourage people on your team to reach UP and OUT and together we can all achieve amazing things within this industry.
