What is Leadership and Why is Leadership Important?

Leadership can be described as the process or art of influencing people’s behaviors, thoughts and attitude. Effective leadership makes people feel like they have a say in how things are done. Leadership entails inspiring people to effectively, efficiently and willingly complete any tasks assigned to them, often inadvertently leading to higher levels of productivity and job satisfaction.

How does it apply to Network Marketing?

Proper leadership in Network Marketing sets a clear vision and effectively communicates it to the team, providing them with a clear understanding of the team and company direction. Good leadership also fosters effective planning (and duplication) which is important when it comes to meeting individual and team goals. Effective leadership improves member and customer relations and more closely aligns the team and individual objectives. In the absence of strong leadership, an organization may experience slow growth, or stall completely, and eventually lose its momentum and direction. Thinking of Changing MLM Companies?

I was speaking with a friend the other day and we were talking about our experience of leaving a network marketing company that we once loved, but one that was no longer serving our goals in life or our finances like it once had.

He had left a company after being with them for over 22 years- one where he had earned over $3 Million dollars. I could relate as we had recently resigned from a company I had been with for over 10 years. We both decided to WALK AWAY from the monthly check… breaking ties in order to be authentic in our conversations with friends who were looking to join our new companies or opportunity.

What neither of us expected was that leaving a company we once loved on so many levels, from the corporate staff, the team, the product, the friendships, trips etc. was like a divorce. It hurt. But sometimes you have to do what is best for YOU and your families, your peace of mind. What did pleasantly surprise both of us is that many- if not most people remained friends no matter what we did or where we went. These people were true friends…not just by being affiliated with the same MLM company. Dave and I call them our HOT TUB FRIENDS, people we enjoy spending time with – enough that we’d be in a hot tub together with an adult beverage in hand and simply have FUN.

Then there were the so-called friends who as soon as you change companies, UNFRIEND you on Facebook, or talk bad about our decisions for our lives. They are upset and say it is not fair that you are leaving the company, while they choose to stay there. I just don’t get it. Real friends want what is best for you and your family- right???? Imagine being a waiter at a restaurant and you could earn 3x the money being a waiter at another restaurant. People would wish you well and say you made a great decision for your life, right? or another analogy is a car sales man who changes the dealership because it is a better financial opportunity for him and his family, and besides, he enjoys selling that new brand of automobile over the one at his past dealership. It’d be silly to talk bad about them for their decision, right? So I don’t quite get it why network marketing is any different.

My point here is to to do what is best for you.

Sometimes you just have to follow your inner guidance and JUST DO IT! Follow your intuitive self- the one that guides you to what is best for you in your life. The direction….EVEN if it is more difficult that staying in the status quo or familiarity.

Do the Thing – Just Do It- HAVE THE COURAGE to move in the direction of your dreams.

How and Why We Joined Tavala

It’s hard to believe that 5 weeks ago, Dave and I were wondering what the heck we were going to do. Business was not going well. The holidays were coming, we were working with 2 network marketing companies… one I had been with for over 10 years (Dave and I had created a large organization in the past 3.5 years with their new division) and the other was a company we found, while searching the internet, back in July.

We found what we have always told other people, it is hard- if not impossible- to ride two horses with one butt (or work effectively with 2 companies….. Problem is, we couldn’t afford to work just one, as neither were covering our basic living expenses.) Things had changed so drastically in the last 2 years and rather than enjoying the momentum of a nicely built organization, instead were were building over and over again. In fact, people were leaving the company faster than they were joining. To say we were desperate is an understatement. Yes we did begin working with another company…but even with that company, as good as it was, the financial growth was slow and offered a part time income, at best.

That ‘memorable’ day back in December we literally were on the couch talking about our future and literally began praying for a solution. We wanted that FIRE back in our bellies….we wanted something where we could make a huge impact, train, coach, mentor and build something beautiful that would help people and would utilize our God given talents. We wanted to represent something that we could be proud of and trust. We were OPEN, we didn’t know what it would look like- but that day we PROMISED God, and we promised each other, that we would be open and walk through all open doors. And then the phone rang.

WHY TAVALA

And this is how we ‘happened’ upon Tavala. Our prayer was answered when we received a phone call from a friend whom we had worked with previously, in a former business. We LISTENED more than TALKED and by the time our conversation was over, we looked at one another and said, THIS IS IT. I have never been at the beginning of a new Network Marketing company launch, but I have known many people who have -and as they became leaders over time, they helped shape the company in many areas….and they became very wealthy. We were up for the challenge. Back in July, we made a list of what was important in any Network Marketing company that we would be affiliated with and put OUR names, reputation and time in.   4. Strong corporate leadership that we can trust

  6. Solid foundation, min. if any ‘changes’
  7. Opportunity to sell in different markets besides USA and North America
  8. Opportunity for rapid growth and advancement
  9. Young but solid company!
  10. Ability to work closely with corporate – not just be a number or distributor.
  11. A company where monthly we can increase retention and have stability and predictability
  12. Never want to apologize or make excuses for the company (i.e. back orders, pre-sales, taste, etc.)
  13. A venue where we can excel as leaders, LEAD, INSPIRE, COACH & TRAIN What if one opportunity could change your life? What if we had not answered the phone or walked through the door?

Does Tavala Trim Work for Energy & Weight Loss?

In November I received a phone call from a friend whom I trust. He was wondering if my husband and I would be interested in trying a new product that his company had recently launched. He was not pitching me on his company or product but honestly wanted our opinion and feedback. Since we have been visible and successful in network marketing we get calls like this often, but there was something about the way we were INVITED to take a look and sample the product, that was honoring and authentic….so we reluctantly said “Sure, send us a Free 7-Day Sample” and we’ll let you know what we think.”

The more I thought about the product, Tavala Trim, the more excited I got to try it as it was during the holiday season and I figured I could use all the help I could get to NOT gain weight between Thanksgiving and New Years. Plus the Ketogenic program I had been on for over a year was NOT working….and I needed help in dropping weight I have gained since menopause.

Due to Thanksgiving the samples arrived a couple of days later than expected and I remember being ANXIOUSLY EXCITED during that weight. Hmmmm, it had been a while since a product had me excited and I found I was getting impatient waiting for our samples to arrive.

When we received our packages in the mail we were VERY impressed with the presentation.

The 7-Day samples were in a beautiful gold envelope – and the interior with the dark purple print looked very ROYAL. I could see the company took pride on the presentation and branding!

The interior opened up with a pocket for the 7 individual samples and instructions on how to use the product for best results. (Simply add content of each pouch to 12-16 ounces of water).

There are products on the market that have a ‘sweet presentation’ but taste horrible or simply do not deliver the results they advertise. I have to say we were VERY impressed with our first experience.

Day 1 we took a full serving size, and since have recommended to people that if they have any sensitivities to natural stimulants, to start with 1/2 package day 1. Within 15 minutes both Dave and I felt more energy- which in a ‘microwave society of wanting a quick fix’ was impressive. Who can’t use a little boost of natural energy or a little more focus, no to mention a boost in metabolism.

The next thing we noticed as the day progressed is we had ZERO hunger….and ZERO cravings. We drank a lot more water throughout the day (good benefit) and the energy boost sustained through the entire day. I am sensitive to most things that offer energy but this was different. It was an even-keel energy that had no crash effects. I slept well that night as well.

Our enjoyment of the product prompted a conversation with our friend and we began to share samples freely with our friends who we thought would appreciate the benefits we were experiencing with the Tavala Trim. To our delight, over 1/2 the people I personally messaged on Facebook or called, wanted to try a sample!!!!!

Flash forward 3 weeks and approximately 30% of the people who have actually opened and tried their samples have become customers or members. That is a HIGH percentage and I know with correct follow up it will improve to the 50% mark…. NOT because I am a good sales person- but because people are LOVING the TAVLA TRIM.
