SUMMARY- Joy’s TAVALA Journey (details & pics)

First of all let me give a little disclaimer- I decided to do this 14-day TAVALA ‘Journey’ because I wanted to try all of the products I represent, give a true assessment of how they work for ME, and also because I felt I needed some incentive and accountability by making it public! OH….and to be honest, I’ve been SO IMPRESSED with the weight loss results and especially the physical transformation of so many people on our team that I realized the TAVALA TRIM (and other products, if used daily) could be my weight loss solution as well.

I decided I’d HAD IT with carrying around 15 lbs. of blubber around the belly since menopause….so decided on May 3rd to take the plunge. It is not because my husband thought I was fat (although I was sporting a thick waist line and many of my yoga pants were bursting at the seams!) Yup, Menopause gave me the famous ‘men-o-pot’ that is also commonly known as the ‘muffin top’!

I believe it is important to do something for YOU, because YOU want to. Taking care of oneself has often been thought of selfish, yet as I get older I realize ‘self care’ (or taking care of yourself) is the most generous thing we can do for our own well-being as well as those people who care about us and are in our lives.

Unlike many people using the TAVALA TRIM, I weighed myself on Day 1, Day 8 and today, Day 15. Here are my results, to my best of knowledge. Day 8 the scale said I had lost a whopping 1 lb. but using my weight from a recent prior date it said I had dropped 7.4 lbs. (lesson…..body weight varies from day to day, especially for women!) I’m going to go with the 7.4 as of last week, adding another -.4 gives me a total FAT loss of 7.8 lbs. This is exciting as Dave and I have begun working again again with weights, and I can tell both of us have put on muscle weight.

Day 14- Joy’s 14th day on her TAVALA Journey

It’s Time to Tally up the results from my personal journey for the past 14 days- using TAVALA products daily. Tomorrow I’ll publish my ‘before and after pics’ and also details on inch and weight loss. More important, in the scope of things, will be how I FEEL based on a questionnaire I filled out day 1 and at the end of today, day 14.

Although they say it takes 21 days to truly create a healthy HABIT, I feel I am well on my way after only 14 days of using the TAVALA products daily.

I am basing how I feel on a sliding scale of 1-10. 10 being FANTASTIC and 1 being low!

Here I go!

ENERGY SLEEP

Day 1: 2.5 (especially tired in the mornings) Day 1: 4

Day 14: 9 (big improvement!) Day 14: 9 (sleeping much better, deeper)

CRAVINGS FOCUS

Day 1: 3 (I was craving salty foods, and alcohol -sugar) Day 1: 3 felt scattered! low production!

Summary in how I feel:

All in all, my energy both in the morning and throughout the day is MUCH better. I wake up rested, have even-keel energy and focus throughout the day. No cravings – and although I am rarely hungry, I do eat a small and healthy meal. I believe the TRIM really helped with cravings, including alcohol cravings…. which is a habit, but also my body’s craving for sugars.

I crave more water which means to me that I am more in tune with my body and what it needs. I feel balanced and ‘happier’….some say the balance comes from the Quantum Relief Strips, and the “happy comes from the PEA” in the TRIM. (guess that is a derivative of dark chocolate and we all know chocolate makes you feel ‘good’.) 🙂

I summarized how I FEEL today, as sometimes we tend to downplay this part and only go by how much weight or how many inches we may have lost in the past 14 days. FACTS tell but PICTURES SELL so I’ll grab my camera and take a few pics tomorrow and post them….whether I like them or not.

Day 13- Joy’s TAVALA Journey….

This was me 13 days ago. Since I rarely step on the scale to assess my ‘size’ I was quite shocked to read the number on the scale 13 days ago. I’m quite sure it said HELP!

Luckily, HELP was available and this is what my 14-day ‘TAVALA’ blitz is all about. Day 12- Joy’s TAVALA Journey

Today is Mother’s Day and Day 12 on my TAVALA Journey. In all honesty, I am in quite a ‘groove’ with my eating that I don’t have to give it much thought day to day. I simply eat sensibly and in smaller portions and it is easy as I have no cravings as the TRIM has nipped that on day 1.

I use all of the TAVALA products daily (although sometimes I do not drink the Bru, Cacao drink, as I simply am not hungry after dinner and that is when I was drinking it as a healthy beverage before bedtime. In addition I rarely use the ALERT, micro-mist for energy as the TRIM gives me as much energy as I need. No additional energy required!

The only thing I missed at all, and not dramatically enough to have it, was a glass of wine when visiting my mother for Mothers Day. Everyone enjoyed a cocktail that I prepared for them, except me. That’s OK, my reward is staying true to my word and also to enjoy the morning clarity that I have daily from not consuming alcohol at night.

Today I enjoyed several gifts- beautiful hanging basket of colorful flowers, flowers for the window box, bird feeders for the deck and 2 pair of new workout pants.

Now that my clothes are fitting better I figured I deserved to buy some new capri workout pants. Most of my older workout pants are stretched out or coming apart at the seams. Perhaps you may know how it feels to BURST at the seams???

I’m anxious to evaluate my results after 14 days using the TAVALA products. I’ll be evaluating my overall health, my energy, my sleep, my weight and inches lost and overall sense of well-being.

Day 11- Joy’s Journey with TRIM and other TAVALA Products

I am sipping my morning meal as I write this. It is a vanilla based meal replacement shake, with almond milk, a scoop of TAVALA Bru (dark chocolate, organic, non-GMO CACAO) blended with 3 ice cubes! I’m in heaven.

I wasn’t sure if I would be able to adhere to a TAVALA regime for 14-days, 2 holiday celebrations to boot!, but I am finding I am so satisfied with what I am consuming that I certainly don’t feel like I am on a DIET.

And truth be told, I am NOT on a diet. I simply agreed to adhere to 14 days of using the TAVALA products and to eliminate my biggest toxin- alcohol! Great decision!

Day 10- Joy’s TAVALA Journey

When I was asked if I wanted to try a new product called TAVALA TRIM back in November I said NO….or more accurate, I asked DAVE and he said “NO….I’m not interested”…. so I decided to tell our friend, thank you, but not at this time. You have to understand, we know a lot of people in different Network Marketing companies and we get pitched on product, business and ‘sample offers’ all the time.

Two weeks later, our same friend reached out and asked again, would you like to try a sample of the TAVALA TRIM? Would you like more energy and to be able to drop a couple of pounds? With the tag of ENERGY and WEIGHT LOSS at the end of that question both Dave and I agreed- we’d be HAPPY to try a sample of the TAVALA TRIM.

Truth be know, it was early December, a busy time of the year and both Dave and I needed the added energy and focus that is a benefit of the “TRIM” …. and both of us noticed our clothes were getting tighter, like the visual to the right.

We agreed to give our honest feedback of the TRIM after religiously using it for a full 7-days….with no promises!

WOW, BAM….day 1 and we really noticed a big difference in our energy. We did not know what to expect so had our usual coffee in the morning and off we went to the post office for our sample that had arrived in our PO Box. We filled our water bottles with water, added a full ‘stick’ pack of the TRIM and drank the TRIM on the way home, a 20-minute journey. Day 9- Joy’s TAVALA 14-day Blitz Journey

It’s really interesting, when I began my 14-day TAVALA Blitz back on May 3rd…. it seemed like a commitment that may take a lot of discipline to stick to. However, what I am finding is that it is a lifestyle of being conscious about those things in life that keep you healthy, vibrant and energize. TAVALA products, and the TAVALA TRIM in particular, make it EASY!

So many of us intellectually KNOW what we need to do for optimal health, but when it comes to applying our knowledge into application, we often fall short. Face it, we are always bombarded with new things which includes multi-tasking throughout the day, which often results in grabbing the wrong choice of foods, or like me, simply not taking the time to eat a balanced meal. No wonder I was feeling tired! With TRIM even if you are not hungry (you won’t be!) please remember to still eat a small portion of food to keep your metabolism actively burning.

The TAVALA TRIM is a great product to add to your daily nutrition, whether you need to lose weight or not. It is REALLY effective on giving you an abundance of ENERGY and FOCUS, and who can’t use a little more of that?

In addition the TRIM boosts the metabolism. I have noticed that FINALLY my old set-point weight has been broken and my body is beginning to trust me: 1) That I will feed my metabolism every 3-4 hours whether I am hungry or not 2) that I will drink adequate water and stay hydrated and 3) that I will MOVE my body and stay active.

Many people have been asking what kind of ‘diet’ or food program I am on, however, my answer is I am NOT on a diet, I am simply eating sensibly. When I even entertain the word DIET, I feel deprived, and I don’t like to be deprived of anything.

I have to say the most difficult habit to break has been to not drink alcohol at night. We are creatures of habit and just like I enjoy my ‘bullet proof’ coffee each morning, I enjoy my glass or two of wine, or cocktail when it turns 5 pm. HOWEVER having said that, I FEEL so much better in the morning having made the choice to give my liver a chance to detoxify and also to help reduce the FAT around my belly. Alcohol simply does not serve my body when my goal is to rid fat and drop 15 lbs.

So…. in summary, I am developing a new habit and it’s revolved around the TAVALA products….but in actuality what it is called is “SELF-CARE”.

Fortunately for my cravings (unfortunately for my blood sugar) I lived in a sorority with 90 women; that’s A LOT of rolls. A good night’s take for me was around seven rolls.

Joy’s Day 8- Summary of 1 week using

SCALE or MEASUREMENTS?

Don’t get hung up on the scale! People vary and our weight, especially for women, varies from day to day.

Make sure you measure yourself, take photos and also try on something (like jeans) that may be too tight on day 1 but baggy by day 7!

Keep track of your food intake for conscious food choices. Drink 1/2 of your weight in ounces of water. In other words if you weigh 160 pounds, make sure you drink at least 80 ounces of water per day!

Day 7- Joy’s TAVALA JOURNEY- fat is melting & my metabolism is in high gear!

OK, so today is day 7 which means I have had a week to get used to good habits for health.

It has nothing to do with a diet.

I made a decision to put myself first and to honor my body the way I tell others to. To work out because you DESERVE to, not because you have to.

To hydrate your body because it is healthy for each and every organ in your body, including your largest organ- your skin.

I always knew this decade was going to be a very special one but had no idea why. I speculated that it would be the time when I was truly on my “LIFE PATH” and doing what I was brought to this lifetime to do and create. I feel that to be true.

Entering my 30’s I decided to enter a body building competition, JUST to PROVE to myself, that a young mom with 2 kids could still commit to oneself, take time for oneself and stick to something that took discipline and drive for excellence. I did- and I actually won!

Entering my 40’s …. nothing much stands out except I was ‘my own boss’, self-employed and a workaholic. I enjoyed some good times but they were a blur as I was often to exhausted to stop and ‘smell the flowers’. Even though I was my ‘own boss’ I missed out on many things with my kids during their jr. high and high school years because of my priorities.

AHHH, my 50’s. I met my soul-mate just before turning 50. Dave was about to turn 50 as well and this decade was full of new beginnings and fun. Often times when one is newly married healthy habits, like diet and exercise, become a little less important and a couple of years into our relationship we had both packed on a couple of pounds. (more than a couple!) Luckily with a DVD program called P90X, we turned that around…for several years.

Now you may ask WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH TAVALA AND YOUR 14-DAY CHALLENGE?

Well, at age 60 I hope we have become a little wiser and will commit and stick to doing things for US, rather than for other people.

Inspired by many people on our team, (members and customers) I was so impressed with their weight loss results using the TAVALA TRIM that I decided it was time for ME to drop the 15 lbs. of blubber that has accumulated on my body since menopause.

My goal was for weight loss for sure, but moreso for overall health, energy, vitality and to slow down the aging process. My first born granddaughter, Kamaria Joy is now 9. Her mom, my daughter, Kori is 25 years older than she is, then there is me, 25 years older than my daughter…and then there is my mother, Dorothy 25 years older than myself. On my mothers 85th Birthday celebration I looked around and made the decision to take extremely good care of my body (IE MY TEMPLE) so that I age gracefully.

Although my mom has been active and healthy most of her adult life, I want to be able to travel, contribute in life when I am well into my 80s and even 90s. Good genes alone won’t always carry one to aging gracefully. So thanks, Mom, for a glimpse into what I could be like at age 85!
