This is a great question for anyone looking to join a Network Marketing Company.

TAVALA is unique and different in many ways. They are the ONLY company that I personally know of that markets consumable products and you are NOT required to be on a monthly auto ship OR have a personal monthly order to qualify for earning commissions.

How is this possible?

TAVALA is what they call a “Subscription Box” Company”. Each month members, by choice, can choose their monthly order and it can change at any time. When you have an active “Subscription Box” order each month, TAVALA rewards you and will ship your box for FREE, no matter the size of the box!

….BUT, and here is the kicker, you are NOT required to have a monthly auto ship or even a monthly order as TAVALA lets the volume from your customers orders qualify YOU to earn your commissions. How cool is that?

Of course, we know you will want to experience the products yourself and will want to order – but in the event you can not for whatever reason, this does not prevent you from building a TAVALA team. We know of a person who is traveling for several months and can not be home to receive products shipped to his home BUT his customers orders qualify him to still get paid!!!

Years ago I went through a difficult time financially and was involved in a Network Marketing company. The monthly qualifications for me to get paid the maximum 12% vs. 8% commissions cost me almost $150 per month. What I was forced to do was to collect orders from my customers and then place my order, using their credit cards. (often used 2-3 credit cards just to qualify). THAT was insane, but the only other option was to miss a month, have my volume flush and not earn a penny. NOT A GOOD PLAN or option! I personally think TAVALA was brilliant to set this up this way.

I don’t know about you but THAT IS HUGE! Previously I was with a company that talked about, promoted and sold product for 16 weeks before it was ever available to actually experience the product. What happens in situations like this is we would see our “commission checks” dip WAY LOW as people would halt-stop building. TAVALA promises to never let you down by pre-selling anything that is not available to immediately ship.

Is it True Customers and Distributors Pay the Same at TAVALA?

In Network Marketing it is customary for members (Also called distributors or brand reps) to pay a much lower price than customers pay. As a result when sharing a product or service with others it has become commonplace to try to talk them into becoming a distributor for their benefit in order to get the lower price, especially if it makes financial sense.

However, TAVALA is different. We love our customers, and we love our members. With TAVALA both customers and members pay the same low price!

The ONLY difference is that customers are just that….customers and they can not earn commissions. They pay the same low price, which keeps it easy and clean. We don’t try to sway anyone to do something that they are not comfortable doing. And get this- believe it or not, TAVALA pays 10% more in commissions on customers. This is a good sign (also VEMMA compliant) as people will purchase TAVALA products whether there is an opportunity involved or not!

With TAVALA they keep it very simple. EVERYONE PAYS THE SAME PRICE. With my former company there were at least 4 different prices for the same product. It became confusing for everyone as the requirements. Are you on or not on a monthly auto ship? Are customers preferred customers who order monthly or customers that purchased on occasion? Everyone had a different price! OH MY! Not only was it confusing to the customer but also to the members who have to keep track of pricing.

JOIN TEAM TAVALA!

TAVALA: WHO SHOULD YOU JOIN WITH?

This question has come up several times in the past week so I thought I’d offer my 2 cents.

Network Marketing is a fantastic and interesting method of distribution of products and services. A company, in this case TAVALA, pays members or distributors, a commission for selling products rather than through traditional channels of advertising. Ads on TV, the RADIO, and in PRINT are very expensive so rather than spend those dollars on traditional advertising, a Network Marketing company pays commissions out to those people who share, sell and build teams. Network Marketing is non-discriminatory- in other words, anyone can join and it is not based on ones age, social status, color or race. It is an equal opportunity and one where the average person can create unlimited income. I believe it the BEST opportunity available for self-employed people to realize their dreams.

So the original question comes up:

Who Should You Join With?

Let’s say your cousin Joe or your aunt Edith are introduced to a product that they LOVE! The natural thing is to share the product with those they care about, even though they themselves are not actually ” building” a business. With TAVALA there is no joining fee and customers and customers pay the same low price…. which means that it is very likely that customers will be sharing the product even though they themselves can not earn commissions. Only members can earn commissions.

Let’s then say YOU ARE an entrepreneur and see the business opportunity and decide this is the company you want to build a team with. What do you do? Who do you join with?

Certainly there is a certain alliance with your own family and many (or perhaps most?) people feel an obligation to join with the person who shared the product or opportunity with them. However, most SEASONED Networker Marketers will take a longer term view and assessment of the situation. Some may still join with a family member or friend as they believe their upline does not dictate their personal success, while others, like Dave and I, believe choosing your upline carefully is a smart thing to do.

If you are serious about building a business you are looking at a relationship that you will want to nurture for many years to come. Asking questions and actually even INTERVIEWING your potential upline is a smart thing to do AND we encourage it.

Do you LIKE them as people? Are your values and style complementary? Do they have training in place and do you like the way they train? These are important as you are going to trust your contacts within this team structure. Are they available for 3-way calls or to answer questions or are they doing this as a part time hobby at best?

Use your upline as a RESOURCE but NOT AS AN EXCUSE!

Fortunately for those of us with TAVALA the compensation plan is very generous and there is also something called ‘dynamic compression’ so if you do join with someone who is not actively building the business, commissions will by-pass those unqualified for commissions will still roll up until all commissions are paid out. This was people who are building and qualifying for commissions are rewarded for their work.

Currently Dave and I are getting paid on some members who are 8-9 levels deep because those in between are either inactive or not qualifying to receive commissions.

When making this decision on who to join with go with your gut. We have a gal who joined our team, by choice, only to be poorly judged by her friend who gaven her the initial sample of product. She didn’t want to hurt her friendship so we transferred her distributorship to her friend….however 2 months later this gal said (word for word) “It was one of the worse decisions she has made in her life!”

If you join with someone who is not doing the business….ask who their upline is…and keep going UP until you find someone who IS working the business and ask them to mentor you. I’m sure they would be thrilled to know who you are and to work with you and your team as you build. Once you do join, make sure you then become the UPLINE that you want to have. WE LOVE WHEN PEOPLE IN OUR DOWNLINE CALL TO INTRODUCE THEMSELVES AND TELL US THEY ARE READY TO BUILD!

There is no right or wrong way to make your decision. If you decide not to join with your friend or family member because you feel there is a better place for you to be, thank them for introducing you to the product or opportunity and reward them in a way that will maintain the relationship. If it’s a true relationship, they will understand if they can not be the leader/trainer you need to them be.

Of course EVERYONE wants people to join with them and their team. Some people get into Network Marketing expecting it to be like a lottery TICKET and if they get lucky and sponsor a couple of ‘whales’ then they will become rich. Network Marketing is just that….. netWORK MARKETING- a REAL Network Marketing opportunity will not be a fast quick scheme to making money!

Why? NETWORKING is in our DNA! We naturally share what we like with people we care about. We don’t call it selling, it is simply making a recommendation and seeing if the person is even open to taking a look. If we recommend a certain restaurant and you decide to go to another restaurant we don’t take it personal- and in this industry try NOT to take anything personal!

Joy’s Day 8- Summary of 1 week using

SCALE or MEASUREMENTS?

Don’t get hung up on the scale! People vary and our weight, especially for women, varies from day to day.

Make sure you measure yourself, take photos and also try on something (like jeans) that may be too tight on day 1 but baggy by day 7!

Keep track of your food intake for conscious food choices. Drink 1/2 of your weight in ounces of water. In other words if you weigh 160 pounds, make sure you drink at least 80 ounces of water per day!

I always heard the “big money’ is made in the first phase of a network marketing company, but have never experienced this until we joined TAVALA. I have always heard of or joined a company way after the momentum has occurred….and have many friends who became very wealthy or millionaires by timing it correctly….even in companies I have been with and joined only 1 or 2 years later than they did!

Day 3: JOY’s TAVALA 14-Day Blitz

Imagine eating healthy, exercising, nourishing your body with good food and supplementation and staying hydrated? Obviously you’d feel better, right? Of course you would.

Well this is how I am feeling on Day 3 of my 14-Day commitment to using and enjoying all of TAVALA’s products daily.

It’s not like rock-science…..

I started out with a commitment to fit into my jeans. I’ll be honest, this started out for vanity reasons, plus I just returned to Vermont after spending time in Florida with dozens of men and women who had recently dropped 10, 20, 30, 40 and even 50 lbs. in the past several months using TAVALA TRIM. THEY motivated and inspired me! (Motivation #1)

Sure, I wanted to have more sustained energy throughout the day and have enough energy to actually WANT to work out…. but the real reason I am doing this is I want to drop 15 pounds of fat…and be a better representation of what TAVALA’s products, especially the TRIM and CONTROL, can do for your health and weight management.

Here is what 10 lbs. of fat looks like… now that is a big blob of FAT!!! I am committed to dropping 15….. yes, those stubborn 15 lbs. that crept up on me in the past 4-5 years- during “menopause” leaving me with a men-o-pot! That’s right, at least 10 of those pounds went right to my mid-section making me look either 5 months pregnant, or more pear shaped, like my mother. Yikes! (Motivation #2)

Here’s a cool thing “belly thing’ that I noticed today, on day 3, at the gym doing ‘crunchy frog’ abs exercises. I could already tell my belly was smaller as I ‘crunchy frogged’ the exercise like a jackknife…seriously! (Motivation #3)

As a personal trainer I used to tell people to stay off the scale and go by body composition and how your clothes fit…. but there is still something about those darn scales that catch many (especially women) off guard…..and have us committed to weighing a certain number on the scale….rather than by the way we look and how we feel.

Still, take a look at this visual and tell me what you think about what a 150 lb. woman looks like…..

Actually you can’t, because there are many versions of what 150 lbs. reflects.

I weighed myself day 1 and will not weight myself (I don’t think) until day 8 and then day 15. Due to being naturally muscular, I have always weighed around 10 lbs. more than people would guess so I have to remind myself that if I transform my body using TAVALA’s products, that whatever the number is in 14 days doesn’t really equate to success or failure. Dropping 10 lbs. of FAT and adding 2 lbs. of lean muscle is a pretty good goal as well.

What am I doing differently with TAVALA the products? How am I incorporating them in my daily regime?

Control before each of my main meals (3x day)

TRIM in the morning after breakfast (drink)

Consume a min. of 1/2 ounce per body weight of water daily

Exercise at 11 am, Cardio, Weight Training alternation

Alert “mist” in the afternoon for sustained energy

Healthy meals, min. of 3 small meals and 1 mid-day snack

Rebounding on a mini-trampoline for a min. of 10 minutes each day (helps with lymph!)

NEW Quantum Relief Strip replaced every other day

Bru for an evening snack/hot beverage

SNOOZE “mist” before bed.

When we joined TAVALA we made a list of the quality and kind of TEAM we wanted to create. We believe getting clear and intentional on the qualities of people we wish to attract and work with is very important. Energy doesn’t lie. What we put out is what we get back! So we spent time and made a list of qualities of who we want to join our TAVALA team and posted it and looked at it daily.

The more we got clear and looked at this list, the quicker people began to show up!

We realize that in order to ATTRACT the type of people to our team that possess the leadership qualities we admire-we knew that WE would have to take a look at what WE bring to the TEAM, otherwise there is no way ‘those people’ (aka other leaders) would be attracted to our team, our leadership or our team style. As a result of being intentional, we have created a strong TEAM that offers everything others would ever want in place for fast growth, synergy and support.

Who would you like on YOUR Dream Team?

Don’t prejudge who you put on your DREAM TEAM list. Times change, situations change and if we didn’t know that we would never have added one particular name. Interestingly enough, one of the people that was on our DREAM TEAM list was with another company when we joined TAVALA, however we kept the vision of being able to work with her ‘sometime’ and in ‘some capacity’ … we held that vision because we admired her integrity, savvy business sense, her drive and self-motivation, her experience in the industry of network marketing and her role as a leader.

She happens to live on one of the Hawaiian islands… and her energy, her vibe and her contacts have shifted our business in a very powerful Aloha way. When I asked one of her team mates who also lives on a Hawaiian island what the word ALOHA means to her, this is what she wrote…and at that moment, I realized that from Day 1 what we have wanted our TAVALA TEAM TO BE was a team that LIVE ALOHA!

This is what she shared:

Aloha is so much more than just a greeting, it’s how we were raised … a way of life. Here in the islands, you’ll always hear locals saying, “Live Aloha,” or encouraging others to show the “Aloha Spirit.” The word “alo” means presence, while “ha” means breath; connect the two and you get “the presence of breath.” That just means those who possess the Aloha spirit are kind, respectful, positive, loving individuals who will always openly accept others as long as they come with a genuine heart as well. To say “Aloha” to someone means you’re acknowledging their presence, you’re greeting them with love and respect.

But to “live Aloha” or to have the “Aloha spirit” means to live your life with kindheartedness and compassion toward one another, to accept and treat everyone as if they are apart of your own family, and to respect yourself, your elders and your family name. Because when it’s all said and done, people will never remember the material things you possessed; instead they’ll remember how you lived – your character, your intentions, your generosity, the things you stood for … People will never forget your heart … And the way you “lived Aloha.”

(In one way this reminds me of the saying that people will never care how much you know but they will always remember how you made them feel!)

When I read that I got goose bumps. I realize what we are looking for is people who LIVE ALOHA and HAVE THE ALOHA SPIRIT!
