Embracing my age….embracing who I am. OK, so it may have taken me 6 decades to truly embrace my own uniqueness in this world but none-the-less, it’s better late than never- right?
Thankfully I now own my own time, am my own boss and am working with a company and people (majority being women) of my own choosing. How cool is that? Women are natural networkers who enjoy sharing things that we love. Yes, sharing has always been in our DNA! What’s pretty darn cool is you get also get paid to simply do what you naturally do anyway…. share. More on that later.
I came across this Cleansing Prayer today and thought it held wisdom that everyone can embrace…but especially for us women who try to be all and do all in the world.
Yesterday I was reflecting on my life, my age (60) and my daughter turning 35 the other day. Where did the time go?
How is it that she has such a healthy attitude on aging, her body and her role in the world? Why did it take me so long to arrive to this place? Different generations?
Who knows, all I know is my advice to all people, especially women, is to embrace each and every decade of your life.
….AND- this part is important… Be easy on yourself!
Woman wear a lot of hats and have a lot of roles in our busy lives and if we don’t practice self-love and self-care we won’t have a cup that is full enough to nurture those in our lives that we want to. This is true for men as well.
If you are a woman and have not fully embraced who you are or discovered your purpose in this life it’s OK. Life is a journey- not an end result.
Recently I participated in several events that were groups of women empowering and supporting one another. I thought I didn’t need that in my life as I have a supportive and loving husband- but the truth is, women need women!
Too often in the ‘work place’ I hear it is a competitive world and one that doesn’t necessarily support women rising up… but that is a subject I know very little about because I have never been a corporate kind of gal, or worked in a corporate ‘world’. While some thrive in that kind of competitive environment I think my soul would shrivel up and die.
Instead, many years ago I found an industry that is creative and is a beautiful fit for who I am and what I enjoy doing.
I work with a team of people who when we work and support one another we all have greater success and earn more income. It’s called Network Marketing….. direct sales, MLM….. there are many names and true- over the years- it has got a bad rap but it is not the industry in itself. Network Marketing is the best way for the average person to get ahead. While most people work it part time, often in the cracks of their busy lives, many do embrace it as a full time career. With my background in community health and counseling/coaching I never expected to earn a 6-figure annual income, but with Network Marketing I can and I do.
If you are like most women and enjoy helping others while having a fun connection, making new friends and perhaps even earning free trips then consider finding a company, product, service or team that you can thrive in. I chose a company called TAVALA. Interested in exploring? I’d love to chat. 802-846-7530 or email me at JoyEdgerton@gmail.com
I find that being my authentic self works best for me. This is why I didn’t dress up in fancy clothes, put on make-up or have the perfect lighting staging for this video. This is me. This is my message.
I’m looking to work with other women of high integrity who possess leadership in Network Marketing and love championing OTHER women along the way.
Please connect if this is you and you desire to create a 6-figure income or beyond. Together we can make a huge difference in the lives of many.
