So, what’s DJ-Rebate Club ?
First, DJ stands for Dave and Joy,… that’s us, a Mom & Pop operation trying to compete with the BIG BOYS in the Amazon Marketplace.
After months of study and taking courses, we launched our Amazon business in November of 2019. Our first product was the Vermont Walking Sticks! https://www.amazon.com/Vermont-Walking-Hiking-Sticks-Adjustable/dp/B07VZLB4KS/ We were excited to identify a market, find a manufacturer that could work with our design and get us close to the price we needed to be able to make a run on Amazon with the Big Boys!
In our studies, we were introduced to a way to gain traction for our product and have Amazon take notice. This was thru having many products sold very quickly. The only problem we had was that no one knew us and on Amazon, and our first product, “Vermont Walking Sticks” were buried way below the 20th page (that meant No one could find us, which further meant, No sales…. and ultimately meant No income ! )
The solution: We contacted a few handful of family and friends and offered them a 100% rebate if they would go to Amazon and buy our Walking Sticks. Well, by day 2 of our launch we awoke to a note on our Walking sticks from Amazon saying were were the #1 New Product in the Trekking Poles category! Our little experiment had worked! We were now on the map!
Now Amazon has us listed on page 1 or page 2 for the search term “Hiking Poles for Women” ! And it only cost us a couple of hundred dollars (to rebate to our Family and Friends – we asked them to keep and use the poles!) to make this happen!
We decided to launch a more stream lined version on this website by offering rebates to family, friends, and their friends to make this process faster and to begin competing with the Big Boys and Girls in the categories we would launch new products in.
Our next product is this deshedding brush and it is unique because it has 2 size interchangeable blades…
It’s a pet grooming deshedding brush and pets love how it massages them while removing lose hair. Pet owners love it too because there is no more shedding and no more cat fur balls found on your carpet.
