It is with pleasure that I embark on a new journey of highlighting powerful, talented and compassionate women (of all ages and backgrounds) each week. Although at this time I don’t know what I’ll call it, it will be about highlighting Women Each Week that stand out and deserve to be highlighted….for their talents, their heart and contribution and for simply sharing about themselves with honesty and vulnerability.

Today I highlight Stephanie Ortiz. Stephanie is on our Tavala team, which is how we met, but it was her Facebook posts and sharing of ideas and inspiration that caught my attention. Yesterday I learned she is 27 years old… wise beyond her years! Meet Stephanie.

“Hi my name is Stephanie Ortiz I am a young proud Hispanic woman living my dreams.

I have an Associate’s degree in Graphic Design and a Bachelor’s degree in Web Development. Soon after graduating college I realized that working a nine-to-five job was not going to work for me because I had two young boys who needed my love and attention so I started doing freelance graphic and web design.

Even though I was doing what I loved, I felt a void that needed to be filled. I wanted to do more with my life then just make money, I wanted to make a difference. I was focusing so hard on getting clients, without success, that I started to lose the passion for what I was doing.

I fell on hard times and ended up working in a warehouse doing hard labor checking and packing large appliances such as refrigerators, freezers, stoves and dishwashers. I was the only woman working in that warehouse because all other women had quit the first day after seeing how hard the work was but I didn’t have that luxury. I needed the money and I couldn’t find any clients for my web design business.

I don’t tell this story to get pity. This was a life changing experience for me. This is when I realized that I had what it took to succeed. If I was able to endure the kind of physical and mental distress to make someone else money, why wasn’t I able to endure this for myself?

I quit that job after having to deal with a few cases of sexual harassment and I made a promise to myself that no matter how hard times got I wouldn’t work in a warehouse again.

I went through severe depression and anxiety because I felt like l was failing in all aspects of life. I felt that I was letting down my friend and family. When I began to have constant dark thoughts about suicide I talked to a doctor. I poured out my heart to him and he gave me a referral to see a psychiatrist and scheduled the closest available appointment which was in two months. TWO MONTHS!

I was in such a severe depression that I didn’t feel as though I had 2 months left in me to keep pushing.
While browsing in YouTube that afternoon I ran across an 8-hour long positive affirmation sleep hypnosis session. I began listening to it every night and till this day I credit that video for getting me back on my feet.

I began on a journey of self development. I started reading books in self love and I started to connect with more positive people on social media.

I began taking online courses on starting a business. I realized that the reason I was not finding clients was not because I wasn’t good rather it was because I didn’t know anything about business or marketing.

I started following great marketers and influential people on YouTube and listening to their speeches. This is where I discovered that this was what I was passionate about.
I wanted to help people, I wanted to change lives, and I wanted to give people hope. I wanted to inspire people with not only my words but with my actions.

I knew that I was unhealthy so I started to make changes in my diet soon after starting my self development journey and THIS is when I found Tavala. I began using the Tavala Trim which helped me propel my weight loss journey forward and dramatically improve my health.

Finding Tavala really inspired me to use the business as an avenue to help and inspire people. I am proud every time someone takes the leap to start their weight loss journey with Tavala because I know that it works and I’m making a difference.

Perhaps the journey I recently went through was to make this discovery- to align with my passion of helping and inspiring people take control of their own lives. I don’t think I could be as powerful a coach or leader without having gone through some dark times myself.

If I had a dollar for every person who asked me this question: “Will Tavala Trim help me lose weight?” I’d be wealthy. It’s a common question. I love sharing success stories …. and here’s one on a friend that I was introduced to over 15 years ago. Kanane Felo.

Our paths recently crossed when she contacted me for two reasons:

She had seen on Facebook that I was talking about a product that helps you lose weight and have more energy!

It’s our absolute pleasure introducing you to a woman who LOVES to inspire others and help them in life. Meet Coliese Hart…. “Tenacity in ACTION”

IN HER OWN WORDS…

“I have always been the person that does what it takes to survive. I have never been the person to let fear hold me back.
My husband and I and 4 children live a very simple life. Working on ranches, welding, mechanic, mail delivery, fish hatchery, promotional items, construction and even some cattle artificial insemination to make life go smoothly! I was taught to work hard, and life will be easy. (NOT) I have always wanted to lose weight as 4 children left my body a bit different and my energy level was at an all-time, LOW-but I carried forward. Several years ago, a friend sent me a sample of a product that would help me lost weight and gain energy… so of course I tried it and shared with everyone.

That company taught me the dos…. and the DONT’S of Network Marketing!!! I had a 5-year sprint with that company and made some good money. We were the top of the top, money, enrollers, doing network marketing full time and changing lives. We even built lifelong friendship and seriously found our spot in life…. changing people’s lives for health, wealth and lifestyle… PERFECT FIT for what I love to do!

Then my world came crashing down. The company turned to retail and took my entire 5 years of work with them. I could have stayed with them and continue to promote the company, but I would have taken all my down lines money and left them with nothing… while still selling products I believed in. That was a Deal breaker for me. Integrity was everything. I live in a rural area with barely 15000 people and if I had done that my name would have been mud.

I went back to work…. punching a time clock building someone else dreams. My husband, Travis, went back to welding (which absolutely makes him physically ill with the dirty environment) and we begin our journey again. Travis is working 3 jobs and me 2 and we are just trying to survive… Not sure why I had not lost hope, but I did not…

I never did give up on Network Marketing and after shopping for the ‘next thing’…and many samples and hours on the phone with many companies, I could not find that fire I once had. Maybe I was pouting but it was not there.
Then someone introduced me to Tavala (honestly, all the while I was literally rolling my eyes because every company has the same key phrases!)

All I needed was a product that did what it said it did and a company that did what it said it would do.

Honesty and transparency was all I was looking for; however, I had not made up my mind to go all in again.
Tried the Tavala Trim product…. Yep-it had “knock my socks off energy” and I broke a plateau in my weight! Then I tried it on a few friends and their reaction was the same.

It’s fun to share stories like Owena’s – we’re sure you will be inspired with how she transformed many areas of her life in less than a year.

In Her Own Words:

“Life is funny and full of surprises! Approximately two years prior to being introduced to Tavala Trim I began a journey to lose weight. I started following the “Prestige Fit Body 8-week Fat Loss Plan.” It was strictly nutritional and involved very little exercise. I lost 50 pounds and felt great.

However, filing for divorce took an emotional toll on me and I ended up gaining 25 of those pounds back! My energy was low, and I needed help!

January of last year I received samples of the Tavala Trim from Chris, my former weight loss coach, who I had previously worked with to lose my 50 pounds. He and his wife La-Shrana were testing the product with friends and clients and they loved the feedback they were getting. Meet Jennifer Camacho, singer, ukulele player and well-known performer in Hawaii- also known as the “Blonde Hawaiian”. It is with pleasure that we share Jennifer’s story.

In her own words:

“A year ago I was in rough physical health. My lung function was only 35% and my oxygen levels were 60-70% capacity. It was difficult getting around and I was hospitalized for 5 months. When I got out of the hospital I saw a man I knew who had lost a lot of weight and learned he was using a product called Tavala Trim. I told my daughter, Maile, who began researching the product and with excitement we both purchased product and joined as members. Surely if this product works, we knew many people who would be interested. Both of us were wanting to lose weight and hoped this would help us as we had both struggled for years. LOSING WEIGHT IS HARD. I would like to share MY story with you. I can’t stick to any diet, I’ve tried them all. I love carbs and I can’t cut sugar out of my diet. I can’t live on shakes and soups. I eat out often for my full time job. I try and make healthy decisions, but it’s difficult with all the cravings.

So, two years ago, I tried a “natural weight loss supplement” that a friend was selling. Now, I can’t swallow pills, and these only came in capsules. I was so desperate, I opened them up and mixed with peanut butter and honey to mask the awful taste. I was completely convinced that it wasn’t going to work, but I dropped $25 on a 1 week sample. Much to my surprise, I was down 5 lbs the first week.

8 weeks on the supplement I had made significant progress, my clothes were loose on me and I had dropped 18 lbs. I was happy and sharing it with all my friends and family. Then it came- the notice from the company that one of the ingredients was being banned by the FDA. We could no longer get the product.

Since then (Back in 2015)I have been on a mission to find something that worked like that product did (and preferably not in pill form) and I have spent thousands on products, membership fees, and auto ships. I tried teas, coffees, drinks, pills, wraps, creams, shakes, you name it, I gave it a whirl. So, I chalk that up to eliminating what didn’t work.

“Have you ever felt like you have won the lottery by finding that perfect thing?
That perfect place? That perfect gift?

Well, for me it was finding “that” perfect product again! You see my journey started back in early November 2011 with another company with a very similar product. I loved it! I was a product of the product. It was like winning the lottery, the weight loss lottery.

You see from the age of 12 years old, I gained 45 pounds in 4 months. I dove into food for comfort. I ran 5 miles every day and yet my clothes only got a little tighter. I ended up stopping running when we moved – and that made losing weight even more difficult. I battled with my weight my whole life up until that day in November 2011!. After that, I lost weight without struggle. I still had to watch what I ate in moderation but it was pretty easy.

Then the product changed in 2013, and everyone started gaining their weight back including me. I floated around in different networking companies looking for “that” perfect product like I had had before.

Then, one-night January 10, 2018, I was googling best weight loss products, you name it -I was googling it. And somehow, I found Mark Butts and what he was posting or advertising or something. That part is still a blur, I wish I could remember what post it was. My fingers were moving so fast. my heart skipped a beat. Could this be???? I had searched for 5 years and finally found what I had asked for???

For the next few hours I You-Tubed, I googled, I watched videos and read reviews. I sent Mark Butts a quick message asking for more information and I went to bed excited, nervous, happy, scared. I was full of…. I don’t know. It’s hard to describe what I was feeling. I still didn’t hear back from Mark and I had so many questions. So, I went to bed.

I tossed and turned all night, when I woke up in the morning… I walked out to the computer and ordered the product. I just had to!!! What did I have to lose?? Weight??? It was so worth a try.

The product took the longest 9 days to get to me ever (in Canada) Lucky for those in the USA who get their product within days! During that time, I watched more videos, messaged Mark Butts, googled more. It was a long wait.

Then it happened… I got to start Tavala Trim product on January 20, 2018. I had this feeling of ‘coming home‘ being both excited and scared as I wanted this to work for me but also others who were struggling with weight loss. I am still learning along the way and catching some bad habits still. FOOD IS NOT TO BE A TREAT! I am learning not to reward myself with food when I reach a goal….but simply enjoy reaching the goal.

I am excited to see where I will be in the next 6 months. I still have another 24 pounds to go and then baby steps after that. But I don’t see this exciting journey ending anytime soon.
