(Donna Palme shares in her own words, a heart felt transformation that her husband experienced with Tavala’s products.) Be ready to be moved and inspired.

My husband, Willie and I have owned at least 7 different campers , and enjoy camping, (me “glamping”) and our dream is to purchase a motor home and travel with our children and grandchildren while we were still young and able to enjoy it.

For about 18 months Willie had been going to a back and pain clinic and had some degenerative discs in his back and was being treated with injections and pain medication.

Everything seemed to be under control up until April

…in April he started with intense pain going down his leg due to the discs compressing the sciatic nerve. They tried the injections that had worked for two years however they no longer were working so they increased the pain medication and yet, that did not seem to work either!

This pain put him out of work and flat on his back in bed but he still did not receive any relief from this pain. Talk about sleep deprivation, he could only sleep at 45 minute intervals and then would pace and moan in pain… it was horrible to watch and not be able to do anything to help.

My thoughts were at this point was that our dream of a motor home and traveling were totally over as he couldn’t even sit to drive! At age 61 I felt our future was dim. Surgery was his only option. Surgery was a scary thought and extremely risky at his weight and the surgery would only give him a 50-50 chance of relief!

What should he do?

At this time Willie was 303 pounds ……… the surgery was booked! The date was in place yet we were extremely uneasy and unhappy about it and truth be known, were scared to death!

(Willie had Hodgkin’s disease in 1981 and had three ribs in a tumor removed… it was like a miracle because he had no lymph nodes affected.

In 2013 he had kidney cancer and had a kidney removed but no other organs were affected and the cancer did not spread. I tell you this as we are not strangers to Medical hurdles and obstacles and overcoming them )…. therefore we take life seriously and know that tomorrow is not promised ….

We feel that God intervened! As fate had it, Willie got a little infected sebaceous cyst on his back that made us postpone the surgery …….

Like millions of people, Willie had an extreme addiction to sugar as well as portion control. For example he couldn’t eat one ice cream sandwich but had to have four…. in one sitting and would stop daily on the way home and pick up whatever Sweets he desired. It was out of control!

Here’s where divine intervention surfaced again!

Approximately 25 years ago I was involved in a direct sales company with Darlene Carson, from California. We were not on the same team but we won many trips through this company and Leadership conferences became friends- we even traveled with our four children and spend Easter with them one year back in the mid-90s.

In June, Darlene put a post on Facebook that she was involved with a new company called TAVALA and had lost weight and asked if anyone wanted a free sample? I jumped at the opportunity and she mailed me the sample!

I was immediately impressed with the packaging and I tried the Tavala Trim for 2 days. I knew it was for me as I really liked the taste, the increase in energy and suppressed appetite it provided.

On the third day I was convinced and signed up to be a member and ask my husband if he would like to try that third sample of Trim that Darlene had send and he agreed….and he liked it as well.

Willie started drinking the Tavala Trim daily and saw an immediate result in his lack of desire for sugar- his energy level increased and the weight started dropping off quickly! He was still out of work and still home and in extreme pain.

As I became familiar with the Tavala products Willie added Control to his daily regimen, because he was a borderline diabetic. Control literally ‘controls’ and normalizes blood sugar and is a great partner product with the TRIM for those who truly want to hit the weight loss at all angles.

At the beginning of this year we had booked a condo on the beach in Florida across the street from my son’s house so we could spend 4th of July with our family.

It was booked and paid for but we were extremely worried on how Willie was going to make it from Sanford, North Carolina to Florida… as he could not sit for longer than 20 minutes. (His pain was so bad that on his way to doctor visits he had to lay the passenger seat flat and even then he tossed and turned the entire journey to wherever we were going.)

Losing Weight Helped….

By July he had lost a little bit of weight and we agreed that we would make the trip from NC to FL and simply stop every time he felt uncomfortable and walk around. I was anticipating this 8 hour trip to take about 3 days (ha-ha) but we were both excited to see our son and to visit the sunny beaches of Florida so we agreed to venture out.

Meanwhile, I had ordered some Quantum Relief Strips and had them in my purse. I don’t think Willie had heard or read anything about the Quantum Relief Strips (QRS) at this point but after approximately an hour in the car he was fidgeting in the driver’s seat and said he was in pain and that we needed to stop and walk around and stretch.

I thought it was a great idea and I immediately got the Quantum Relief Strips out of my purse. As we stood up out of the car I presented it to him- told him all of the wonderful attributes of the strip as well as letting him know it was non-narcotic and would not interfere with his prescribed medications. What did he have to lose?

He agreed and we put the strip on the side of his leg where the sciatic nerve ran down and was giving him the pain.

We stayed at the rest stop for about 20 minutes then got back in the car and he did feel relief at that point which had him absolutely amazed ……

I told him it was approximately $2.50 per day he said he did not care if it was $20 per day or $50 per day that in his situation relief could not have a price tag ….. (In fact during our vacation he would brag to anyone who would listen while on the beach and he wore those strips 24/7 …

Willie continued to lose weight and use the “Power of the Patch” and was able to return from our Florida vacation and go back to work around mid-July.

As of today, October 14, 2017, Willie’s weight is 238! He went from a Size 52 inch waist pants to a 44! (Since the picture above was taken he has dropped an additional 15 pounds.)

His journey is not over -he sticks with the Tavala products and his new outlook on food and health has changed.

Willie’s extremely committed and no longer has a desire for any sweets and when he does he turns to frozen fruit. He also continues to wear the Quantum Relief Strips daily, wherever he has discomfort!

I am passionate about life and our journey is back on track to shop for a motor home! Another bonus is we can work our Tavala business from our phone and computer on the road.. anywhere in the country that we wish to travel to, sharing this wonderful product that changes and transforms people’s lives……

Willie and I have been married 38 years this month, we have 4 children and 2 grandchildren! Maybe THIS Christmas he’ll have to wear a pillow in his Santa suit!!!! Wouldn’t that be fabulous?

Kaylene R Afolau- “My Story”. I hope it inspires you! There IS hope for a healthy and natural solution for your health!

At 3 months old I was diagnosed with Spinalmenengitis. A couple other babies died that night but God spared me.

At 12 yrs. old the Dr. diagnosed me with Fibrosis (due to tearing feeling in joints and ligaments ) and put me on huge horse pills of Darvocet.

At the age of 17 I got pregnant. I had horrible back pain and the Dr. Said “You’re just pregnant- Stop complaining.”!!! My son inhaled the amniotic fluid and was blue. He had a severe infection. 1 wk. later I found out I had an Acute and Chronic appendicitis that could have killed my son (Nehemiah). I had it removed 2 wks. after giving birth.

Following I had several Laporoscomies (exploratory surgeries) in which they found I had Endometriosis (the inside of my uterus was growing like a web and strangling my colon.) So they had to burn it.

1 yr. later I was pregnant with twins and lost them. It was devasting. For several years I continued to have surgeries burning the endometriosis.

In my 20’s I experienced Restless Legs, more pain in joints and was diagnosed with Ruematoid Arthritis. The Dr told me my hands would soon cripple up and eventually I would be wheelchair bound. They put me on strong pain meds.

At the age of 28 I started having a lot of trouble with my bowels. A lot of tugging and pulling muscles in my back and groin. I ended up having 2 Sphincterotomies (cutting of the muscles that releases your bowels) 2 Hemroidectomies (lg. blood vessels that protrude inside and out of the rectum) and 2 Ulcers removed from the lining as well.

A yr. later I had A&P Surgery which consisted of during and tiring my Pelvis muscles, Rectal and bladder and putting in a Bladdersling. It was a very long road of recovery.

I continued to try and have more babies as I always wanted 3 or 4, but I just couldn’t carry to full term. My husband at the time didn’t understand why I didn’t want to be touched and why I had to be on so much medication. He told me “I wish you would have died during surgery”. I felt terrible that I couldn’t give him a child. He became very verbally abusive and treated me like I was not good enough for him. We eventually divorced within 2 yrs. of getting married.

The drs. put me on Antidepressants, pain meds, sleep meds, blood pressure meds, muscle relaxer, etc. I had to work though because I had a son to care for. I eventually added Alcohol to the mix.
At 32 I was in a car accident that blew out 4 discs in my neck which resulted in surgery.

At 35 I accomplished my goal of becoming a Foster parent to mentally challenged boys. I was so excited. But then those dreams we’re crushed when… .
At 36 I crushed all the bones in my right leg and underwent 3 surgeries. Which resulted in more pain meds and long recovery.

I continued my education in the Foster care profession while in recovery and took in more kids when I was able to walk again.
In 2010, I was 38 yrs old. I met my wonderful Makeiomani Afolau and married just 5 weeks later. We we’re so happy, but he wondered why I was on so many meds. Of course I explained it all but nobody really understands unless they have been thru what you have.

If that wasn’t enough a year later, at 39, I was run over by a 2 tin flatbed concrete truck. Ugh, It had crushed my knees, hurt my back more and was another long recovery, and yes with more meds. And then… the year after I was warming my Suburban while walking my dogs when I went to turn the car off my sweater caught the gear shift and put the car in reverse. It knocked me down to the ground and yet again ran over the back of my right knee and just stayed there. I was a mess.

For the past 20+ yrs, I could not go into 3rd & 4th stage sleep as I was on way too many meds and in horrible pain still. So, at 45 yrs old this year 2017 I learned about Tavala – the TRIM and the Quantum Relief Strips. Below are pictures of me BEFORE and AFTER taking Tavala Trim.

I‘m always intrigued to hear how people got into network marketing. Often times people do actually seek out an opportunity to work from home and they find the industry often referred to as MLM, Network Marketing or even Direct Sales however for many people – including myself, network marketing actually found US!

I did not grow up in an entrepreneurial family- and other than my grandparents being farmers and maple syrup producers, I didn’t see much ‘working for yourself’ or ‘being your own boss’ in my family. In fact, I never gave it a thought. Once in my early 20s I was introduced to the concept through an “Amway circle presentation”, but I had NO INTEREST at all. The concept of making money that way passed over my head and didn’t find me for another decade.

In my 30s I was a single parent who loved the idea of earning more money….but never did think of network marketing. Then one year when a friend did my tax returns I asked him how I could get a bigger tax return the following year and he told me two ways. 1) Earn more money 2) Get a home based business and use the generous tax advantages available for self employed entrepreneurs. He said I didn’t even have to make a profit to get the benefits. Really?

My friend thought I’d start a small fitness clothing business as a rep, or become a personal trainer as I was what one would call a ‘gym rat’ back then and had already worked in that industry for years.

Instead- network marketing and a bottle of a product called Km found me!

Perhaps you have heard of Matol Botanical or a dark botanical drink called Km (for Potassium mineral supplement) ? Not me, I had never heard of either until I answered an ad in a local newspaper. Remember when placing ads were the way to get your phone to ring?

What is unique to this story is that the man who placed the ad in the newspaper was a man who I was trying to reach to sell advertising to. When I heard his recording say his name, I thought, I’ll go meet him and “sell him!” ha-ha. Not exactly.

In reality, he sold me on the concept of network marketing and I walked away with a bottle of this dark liquid that most people thought tasted ‘gross’. I was excited, maybe I had discovered my new way of earning income and getting the tax benefits my friend told me about…. in reality, I had no clue what I was doing yet somehow I still earned income (to the tune of $1500 a month at tops) and I won many contests that earned me free trips to exotic places, like Hawaii 2x, Palm Desert, and Orlando.

When I told my friend I had ‘joined a business’ he was less than excited that it was an MLM company, but for me it was just the beginning of a life long love for the industry.

Unlike many people in this industry, I am loyal to the companies I join- almost to a fault. I have joined a handful of network marketing companies in my span of 30 years, but several that I joined were based on a friend telling me to not miss the big WAVE, so I joined ‘just in case’.

Have you ever JOINED a company to not miss out by taking a position?

However there have only been a couple of companies that I could say I put my ‘blood sweat and tears in’. There was 1) Matol Botanical which had the “KM” (2- 3 years), 2) The Brain Garden (whole food product called pulse -3 years) 3) ForeverGreen which became FGX, mostly known for it’s FrequenSea product with marine phytoplankton and then PowerStrips (I was there 10+ years) and finally, now with 4) TAVALA. (Most known products are Tavala TRIM and the Quantum Relief Strips.)

Today, 2017 I feel blessed to have had the experiences I have. Have you noticed a trend? All the companies I have been with are Nutritional companies.

Along the way I feel the companies became a better fit as I grew in experience… and of course my understanding of the industry improved dramatically as educated myself on leadership and the industry.

It’s often said that Network Marketing is a business opportunity disguised as a business opportunity and boy are they right! You’ll succeed in direct proportion of to your personal growth.

Today I pride myself as a professional in this industry. Both Dave and I take our roles as leaders very serious and have become what we call “the up-line support we never had!” We love our team and they love us back.

There are many great books we’ve read to improve our leadership skills in network marketing and of course many videos and training we have immersed ourselves in. If you’d like suggestions we are happy to share what we have found to be the most useful for a FAST TRACK understanding in the industry.

In the past I often questioned when other leaders would resign from their network marketing companies and join another company- especially if they were earning a 6+ figure annual income.

…and then, this is exactly what Dave and I did.

After experiencing this ourselves, I realized it is not just about the income, but about being authentic to who we are and what we represent.

Being anything less is not being in integrity. We felt if we KNEW that the average person would rarely have success- or that the product availability would not be there, or product changes were common place, or that the original products we fell in love with were no longer available, or that the company would pre-market or pre-sell products for 4-6 months….then how can we authentically ‘share’ an opportunity or product with others?

How could we build an organization if things were volatile and unpredictable?

All of the above led us to have an “opening” for something new and better- that we could pour our heart and soul into – and share with 100% sincerity that the products and the opportunity were not only great for the seasoned and successful network marketer, but for the average person who wants to earn income.

I recently read a fabulous book, “The Plant Paradox” by Steven Gundry. I also signed up for his newsletter and today received this “message” by e-mail. I thought it was worth sharing in a blog!

Along the way I’ll interject a couple of things and highlight them in purple, this way you know it is ME talking to YOU!

Is YOUR Doctor Over weight?

How about your Personal Trainer or Nutritionist?

There is something about taking advice from someone who ‘doesn’t look the part’ and is not congruent with their profession. That is what this is about…and what the famous doctor, who was 70 lbs. over-weight did to change this for his life- and is helping others do the same.

In ‘his own words’….

“Can you keep a secret?

There’s something important I want to share with you today.

And, other than my wife Penny… I’ve never really talked about it to anyone…

But there’s an important lesson in it — a lesson that changed my life completely.

And I think when I reveal that lesson to you…

It might change some things in your life for the better, too.

So, bear with me. This is going to require me to share some pretty embarrassing details about my life.

It all started about 15 years ago…

At the time, I felt like the biggest hypocrite in the world.

Sure, I was saving other people’s lives in the operating room, but my own life felt out of control.

As you may know… I was giving people health advice… while I myself was 70 pounds overweight.

Ironic, right? But that feeling of hypocrisy wasn’t even the worst part.

And believe it or not, neither was the fact that I was hypertensive, pre-diabetic, and felt sick all the time.

The worst part… was how it affected the everyday details of my life.

Let me give you three painful examples:

Example #1: My Secret Fat Suits

During my worst period, my weight would fluctuate wildly.

And because I didn’t want people at the office to notice my weight gain when my suit got tighter…

I kept three different sizes of the exact same suit in my closet.

It sounds ridiculous, but it’s true.

I’d have the size I’d wear when I was at a “medium” weight…

The size I’d wear when I lost 20 pounds on whatever diet I was trying…

And then the size I’d have to wear when I “fell off the wagon” and overate until I was even bigger than usual.

And the more time went on, the more I noticed that I was wearing the biggest suit.

It was demoralizing. I felt like I was being defined and controlled by my weight.

And I was tired of it.

Example #2: Shoe-Tying Challenges

At my biggest point, even my shoes were a painful reminder of my weight.

Whenever I bent over to tie them… I’d have to lean to the side to “go around” my gut.

As you might guess, I was far too embarrassed to do this in public…

Especially in front of healthier colleagues, or even worse… patients.

So, I’d double- or even triple-knot my shoes before leaving the house.

And if I had to take them off or re-tie them at work… I’d go to the bathroom to do it.

If you’ve never experienced this… it gets old really fast.

Example #3: Lying to Myself

Now, this one stings the most…

I don’t know about you, but trying on clothes at the department store was discouraging.

Whenever I’d find a pair of jeans I liked, I’d unconsciously grab the size I wished I could fit into…

And when I tried it on, I’d be reminded that it was too small for me.

Then I’d go up one, two, three sizes… and they still wouldn’t fit!

Humiliated, I’d have to hand back ALL the jeans I tried on to the dressing room attendant.

And by the way… these are just a few of the hurtful ways my weight was affecting my daily life.

There had to be 30 or 40 more things like this every day!

It made me feel ashamed — trapped in a body that didn’t fit.

Now, why am I telling you all this?

(and better yet, why am I, Joy, sharing this with you?)

Because I have a feeling maybe you can relate… even if your body issues have nothing to do with weight.

You see, when your body doesn’t feel like yours, for ANY reason…

Whether it’s because you’re carrying extra weight, struggling with fatigue, or battling digestive problems…

The things that really get under your skin aren’t always the disasters.

I never got so big I broke a chair. I never had to buy two plane tickets to fly. I never had one of those “nightmare” problems you read about…

What I did have, though, were dozens of those tiny moments throughout the day that piled up, and reminded me over and over…

I wasn’t controlling my body. My body was controlling me.

So, if you’re struggling with a body that feels all wrong…

A body that’s creating those “tiny moments of misery” throughout your day…

I want you to know I understand.

And not just on some medical, cellular, scientific level.

I understand the emotional pain. It’s just as heavy as the physical effects.

The emotional pain is what makes us want to change our situation.

So, you might be wondering: How did I make that change?

Well, the answer isn’t some “magic” solution… It’s motivation.

And do you know what I found are the two keys to motivation?

1) Your source of motivation has to be both specific and passionate.

You have to zero in on what you care about the most… what’s important enough to drive you to change.

And you have to write it down.

For me, it was a few things: my wife, my kids, my future grand kids (I now have a one-year-old grandson and a two-year-old granddaughter), and my profession of helping people. (Joy speaking here, for ME it is my husband, my kids, my 4 granddaughters and my profession of helping people through network marketing with opportunity to earn income…as well as with products that enhance and change lives!)

Not only did I want to be around for all these things… I wanted to be as healthy as possible for them. That’s what drove me.

However, being driven isn’t enough by itself…

2) To stay motivated, you have to be accountable.

The moment you take responsibility for your actions, the entire world opens up for you.

Excuses fall by the wayside. And the beautiful part is, it’s all up to you. Remember, you’re in control of your life.

And one of the easiest ways to be held accountable is to share your goals and motivations with someone else.

And that leads me to my question for you today:

What’s motivating you to make a healthy change in your life?

Now, the healthy change you’re going for may not be your weight…

Maybe it’s your energy, joints, digestion, heart health, or something else you’re trying to improve.

But whatever change it is you’re trying to make…

What’s motivating you to do it?

Professionals in the health care industry often choose health related products and supplements from companies that market through network marketing. Part of the reason is that many of the products available through network marketing are unique and are often superior to what they can buy from traditional manufacturers sources. Meet Julie Brown as she shares her Weight Loss Struggle, Journey & Success….Yes, Julie has found a solution that is working and wants to share it with you’all.

Down 38 lbs. in just 5 weeks and it was easy!

In Julie’s own words:

“I have been struggling to lose weight for a very long time. I gained weight with depression, I gained weight because I lost the love for myself, who I was, the things I enjoyed and life as I was wanting for myself.

In school I was ridiculed and made fun of…by high school I was called thunder thighs even by my own siblings I shared the house with…I didn’t have a large self esteem…I had my first child at 19. Next one just before I turned 21. This was my own downfall, I hadn’t lost back to my pre-baby weight and said it would never happen…By 22 I was in a failed marriage.

I didn’t have a plan anymore, my scholarship was gone, I was alone with 2 children, over the years I worked menial jobs just to get by; I was in and out of relationships most of my life. Later I had 2 more children and through those depressed years I began to just eat anything to make myself fat. I was nearly 400 lbs in 2010.

I’m not sure what really put a spark in me, another failed marriage, being on my own again or what exactly, but I finally began to care about myself. I was alone but discovering who I was as a person again. I didn’t like myself… I made me be me… I began to eat healthier, exercise, working a better job…I wanted to be better. I eventually lost 200 lbs…no magic only diet and exercise…but my body became so sick as I was losing weight by only consuming 600 calories a day which is not healthy, especially long term.

I began to eat and work mid-nights…I gained back nearly 100 lbs. and thought this is how I’d be forever. I’ve tried any and all weight loss programs and products and would just gain back the weight.

I knew I deserved better for myself and my children too. I’m grateful for my friend Heather (I really can’t remember how we met, some weight loss thing…I know that) Heather showed me something new called Tavala TRIM.
