Meet Larry Myers, also known as “Mr. Jell-O Cup” and hear his story. He lost 700 lbs. and wants to inspire others! The Yonkers native, who once weighed 940 pounds and had a 98-inch waist, is now down to 276 and spreading a message of lifestyle and diet change as a motivational speaker.

In his own words, Millions didn’t make it, but I was one of the ones who did!

“My name is Larry Myers and I am here to inform you that you can make it! I’m passionate about sharing my story as people need to know it is possible to lose weight and become healthy, no matter where you are starting. Who would ever have believed that what I have done- losing 700 lbs.- is possible. Currently I am working on my final weight loss goal, which is losing my last 100 lbs.

I utilized food as a coping mechanism for everything. Over several years, food became my companion, my friend, my lover, and my way of life. I was a free man, but I was literally a prisoner in my own home.

He says he had always struggled with his weight growing up, but the tipping point occurred after the death of his mother Linda, in 2005. The week after she died, he lapsed into a coma at White Plains Hospital and woke up 12 days later.

My dreams of singing and traveling the world became obsolete. As tears streamed down my face, I found the strength and courage to pick up the phone and dial 911 and cry out for help.

When I was born I weighed 8 lbs., but on that day, I dialed 911, I weighed 940 lbs. Yes, you are reading that correctly, nine hundred and forty pounds.

At the time, Myers was so big that emergency personnel couldn’t fit him in an ambulance and had to transport him via pickup truck. People laughed, made jokes, took pictures and it was downright humiliating. There were even times when some of my family and friends jumped on the band wagon.

That humiliation of being stuffed in the back of a pickup truck was the wake-up call he needed to begin the fight to save his own life. “I had prepared to die,” says Myers. “It was war; I felt that I was at war with myself.”

A nurse at the hospital referred Myers to weight-loss guru Richard Simmons and the Brookhaven Rehab Center for gastric bypass surgery but ironically, he was turned down because he weighed too much to safely have the surgery.

Despite all of the trials and tribulations, I am so glad to stand before you and say I made it and you can too. I learned to let go and let GOD! Whether you are 100 or 900 pounds overweight or underweight, you can make a change!

I never in a million years imagined that I would be speaking to people about losing weight and getting healthy. I have lost over 700 pounds and each day my journey continues. No matter what your current situation is I am here to tell you, you can make it!

PAIN in the BACK got you down?

The other day I heard several testimonials on how the Quantum Relief Strips are helping people with back discomfort. A new weight loss product was launched November, 2016 through a company called Tavala, that has people scratching their heads and wondering if is possible that a product can really do what people are claiming the Trim is doing.

In other words, is the TRIM for REAL or is it HYPE like a lot of other ‘diet claims’ on the market?

When we were first introduced to the TRIM it was through a friend who wanted to know if we were interested in a free sample of a new product on the market. He genuinely wanted our opinion. We said “No, but Thank you.”

A couple of weeks later we were asked again. This time we decided there would be no harm in ‘trying it’- after all it was in December and the holidays were upon us….and we could definitely could stand to lose a couple of pounds! The product is called Tavala TRIM.

If the TRIM did even ONE of the things that were were hearing from other happy customers we’d be happy to give our friend a positive thumbs up.

Tavala is the simplest networking business I have ever done in my life by far! We are seeing anywhere from a 35-50% sign up rate with those who we share samples with. With proper follow up I’m sure the numbers could be higher. For example, if you hand out 40 samples in your first week you’ll have at least 10-15 people who say YES and become 1) a customer (you get paid an extra 10% on customers orders) or 2) you’ll get a member. Either way, you get paid 20% on your front line…..and the income begins!

The other day I was thinking about ENERGY and how it doesn’t ‘discriminate’. I was thinking in particular about the Quantum Relief Strips and how, in some ways, wearing a QRS daily is like self administering REIKI daily.

When you apply a Quantum Relief Strip on your body you usually place the strip “where it hurts” or where you want to have the energy go to first.

However, in many cases, both with myself and with others, I have noticed that the ENERGY doesn’t discriminate and automatically goes where it is needed the most.

Today was Day 1 of taking tennis lessons- or I should say, agreeing to take A (meaning 1) LESSON. I have to say, at age 60 I was surprised I was a little anxious as I haven’t had ‘any formal lessons of any sort’ in decades- especially tennis. I did take tennis lessons when I 13 or 14 years old, but that is it.

Then 4 summers ago, while living in Stowe, Vermont and having tennis courts right outside our condo, we began to hitting the tennis balls around and actually played some games…. In the process both Dave and I fell in love with the exercise it offered us and a chance to do something different than we had in years.

Today I prepared as I always do, before playing tennis or any exercise. I had a light breakfast and then I put on my tennis “skort” and matching top/matching visor. Do not be fooled by the professional looking matching attire, the ‘skort’ is the only thing I have that is white and has pockets…and the top just happens to be the color of the design/line on the side of the skort.

Both Dave and I decided recently that we were going to make a list of our top 50 things we want to do in the next 5 years and decided today, that we were going to pursue whatever showed up in front of us. As soon as we made this decision, we got a phone call from Tommy and 2 hours later were playing tennis.

Who knows what else we’ll be trying that has been on our ‘bucket list’ for some time…. but is it fun to stretch oneself, learn new skills and have fun at the same time. One thing I am 100% committed to is staying active and healthy my entire life. Tennis is one thing we will be able to play at ages 70 and 80, even if we can’t move as fast.

Who knows what else we’ll be taking up or improving in the next several months? Learning Pickle Ball? Learning how to effectively paddle board on the lake? Perhaps even continuing to double our Tavala Team volume monthly? Be earning $20K or more per month in a month or two? (that would be by month 8 or 9!) Don’t be fooled to believe it is not possible. I am learning that…

The other day I stumbled upon something that made me LAUGH OUT LOUD and it was the word SHMEC! It was actually a video on Facebook with women talking about different health & body issues they were experiencing when someone suggested that perhaps their “SHMEC was out of check.”
