I love sharing success stories …. and here’s one on a friend that I was introduced to over 15 years ago. Kanane Felo.

Our paths recently crossed when she contacted me for two reasons:

She had seen on Facebook that I was talking about a product that helps you lose weight and have more energy!
She learned that there is a way you can earn money by sharing the Tavala products that she was reading about.

She was looking to drop weight that had crept up over the past 10 years as well as to find a way to earn additional income to supplement her care giver profession. As time goes on, she added, it becomes more difficult lifting, bending and care-taking a 200+ lb. patient. She needed additional income (residual) which would help in the event she ever needed to cut back on that work.

Felo is a dedicated care giver that is passionate about her work but works LONG and OVERNIGHT hours. Well, flash forward a month.

It’s always fun to learn how people initially got into network marketing. This is no exception! Meet Tim and Sally Robinson… we’re glad we did!

“In Their Own Words….”

“In 1986 we received a ‘cold call’ from someone who said on the line that he had a product that would grow hair – Really? I was intrigued as I was forty-ish at the time and needed that product ! (How did he know?)

Believe it or not, that started our journey into Network Marketing with a company called NuSkin. A lot of life is about timing- especially in this industry of network marketing! Many people who came into Nuskin in the late 1980s made millions of dollars. No regrets …but for monies sake, looking back, we should have stayed.

In 1990ish we found another company and built our first big organization into the thousands in our first 13 months. It was exciting. We love people and enjoy helping others reach their goals and dreams.

After that company went down, we dabbled in start ups during the rest of the 1990s. One failure after another. Most start ups are a big waste of time “in our opinion”.

During the early two thousands we stayed away from MLMs and started traditional businesses until 2008 when we found a product we really liked. We’re ‘product people’ so the product has to work or we’re just not interested. We built another organization with a machine that cost more than $4,000. No matter the cost- the product changed lives. In 2008, 2009 and 2010 due to the economy , we could no longer get loans on that machine so for the sake of argument, our business was over.

In 2013 we ran across a 3 year old company that had an amazing product and we also fell in love with the owners of that company. After 3 years and building another large organization it became obvious that this company was not growing. So we left almost 3 years ago.

We weren’t looking to get back in any MLM but after laying low for almost 3 years but then one of the distributors from the last company asked us to take a look at Tavala. Our M.O. is to look at everything and respect everyone. It’s part of our DNA. Anyone who becomes successful in this industry has our very deep respect. We know what they’ve had to go through to get there.

The more we looked, the better we liked what we saw. It’s usually the opposite. It’s usually the more you take apart the puzzle and reassemble the pieces, the worse it gets. There’s always a piece missing. But we couldn’t find any piece missing here. Yes, Tavala was different!

We have no problem saying ‘no’ to any entity where the pieces don’t fit or are missing. The product of course, the timing, the background of the owners, the heart of the company, the up line and so on.

So many pieces have to fit for us to get involved. We have to look at the whole picture and make our decisions on yes, heart, but also can we build something here? We decided we could. As a matter of fact, we had never see a company like this one where all the pieces fit.

There’s almost always something missing. But not here. A major thing we look at is that we may be able to build something nice for ourselves, but the big question was can everyone…. meaning can the average person on the street do this? Once again, what we found- Tavala was different.

We joined Tavala and are here because we believe anyone can have success with this company !! But like a friend of ours always says (and this friend has made $20 million dollars in this industry) “You gotta wanna!” Tavala made it so easy for us! …. AND we wanna!

Meet Jim and Teri Stull. Dynamic duo!

In their own words….well, actually in “Teri’s words”!

“In life so many people have their good times and bad times. Some people struggle with finances, careers, etc. but for us it was our weight loss struggle that had us singing the blues. On the positive note, it is what ultimately brought us together.

My life and my husband Jim’s was no exception. Throughout both our lives we have gained the same weight over and over again and then some. You know, you lose 20 lbs. but end up gaining 25, and it goes on and on, especially as we age.

I feel like I have dieted the majority of my life and experienced what many do as a roller coaster ride…. and then there is Jim’s story with weight gain- true….his was different than mine. Jim had been a collegiate athlete playing college football! He didn’t have an emotional eating issue like I had when we met but he had gained weight as he slowed down his activity in the gym or in working out.

I’ll never forget when we met. It was 2008 and to our amazement we were both involved in a network marketing company which just happened to be a weight loss company. Being overweight, no matter the reason, can make a person get depressed and discouraged! Can you relate? As an example Jim would go to the doctor and be told he needed to go on a diet and start the whole process over again and his -and ultimately OUR -life would change based on ‘diet’. OMG!

Flashback to the year 2001… Jim decided that he was tired of his stressful -yet successful- business life as an insurance specialist and financial planner and told wife at the time, (no,not me!) that he was moving onto something more he was more passionate about that can utilize his skills and relationships and also where he could be his own boss. Guess what? Network Marketing found him and he was a natural. Customers/Clients/ believed in Jim and wanted what he had discovered…. a business/company that helped people get healthy and guess what? Lose weight!!!! To say Jim was a success with this company is an understatement!

Many say he was called the ‘Golden Goose’ as whatever he touched turned to gold. Jim built a huge organization of 150,000 people but ended up selling it to his upline when he and his wife got divorced. The positive side of this is once you have experienced success in this industry, you know it is possible.

Even though we believed in this industry and wanted to improve our health (and yes, lose weight) timing is crucial. In March of 2017 a friend (Jennifer Dillon) from our previous company reached out to share a new product for weight loss and energy. She told me it was a thermogenic drink, boosted the metabolism, gave energy and focus and also helps suppress cravings and the appetite. Are you kidding? This is something both Jim and I have been looking for all along. Easy-peesy- She reached out to ME, not Jim as let’s just say he would not have been open after trying so many products over the years….including with our previous company.

I began using the Tavala TRIM sample that Jennifer shared. She was afraid to talk to Jim, as I was – why? Well, we had 10 other products that were supposed to do the same thing in our cupboard. All of them were not palpable. Jennifer knowing me and knowing that I would be more open and asked me if I wanted more energy and lose weight. Of course I said yes! I purchased the Trim and started my healthy journey with Tavala. Within a week I had lost five pounds and another week I had lost ten pounds.

D-day was April 1, 2017 for Jim- I wanted my husband back! Not only had he gained weight but he was showing signs of dementia. My name is Chantell Varence, a native of the beautiful island of Nassau, Bahamas.

Growing up as a child, I have always found myself motivating, inspiring, and encouraging my peers to tap into their inner gifts, which will eventually ignite a fire inside of them to pursue their God-given purpose, which I believe would someday make one “wealthy.” Believe me, I did not understand what my purpose in life was either, until I discovered a world called “Network Marketing” in 1999, after having my son. That is when I first heard of the industry.

I never imagine having a child out of wedlock at the age of 22, would have brought me to a place called “Purpose.” I was scared, broke and broken, and most significantly, I was disappointed with myself. I was between a rock and a hard place, and was left in the valley of decision. I was scared because I felt as if I would bring so much pain, shame and disappointment to my mother, because I got pregnant a few months after returning home from college after receiving my bachelor’s degree, and I did not give myself time to pursue my dream to become a Motivational Speaker.

I was broke and broken because, I did not have a full-time job coupled with the fact that I needed to make a decision as to whether or not I would abort my child and not hurt my mom. This whole ordeal made me question myself as I felt that I had not only disappointed myself, but I had also failed those that believed in me.

Six weeks after delivering my son, who is affectionately called “RJ”, I was hired full-time as a Computer Programmer in a government agency in The Bahamas. I took the job just to regain my grace with my mom. Not one day went by without me feeling unfulfilled while working 9 to 5 because I was just collecting a paycheck. (No passion!) But one day, I was on the bus and a stranger said these words to me, “You look like a striving young lady, would you be open to me showing you how I make extra money part-time” and my reply was “Sure.”

That night she came by my mom’s house and introduced me to the Network Marketing industry, and to this day, whenever I see Ms. Denise White, I hug and kiss her, because she rescued me from that place called broken. This industry of Network Marketing has brought my relationship with my mother closer and I am most grateful. In that moment, I discovered that many persons are searching to find something different and more fulfilling in their lives.

We all join this industry for different reasons, and for this, we must be sensitive and have an open ear to hear what people are silently saying in most cases. Some join to connect with like-minded people like themselves, some join to foster a better relationship in their marriage, family and/or for personal development, some join for tax-deductions, some join for the money, and sometimes some people may join just to be accepted or to feel as if they belong. Then, on the other hand, some people join because it is the only family they have got. You get to meet such a diverse, cultural and ethnic group of people from all walks of life.

As for me, here is why I love this industry of Network Marketing so much! Network Marketing saved my relationship with my mother and has brought us some much closer. We have fostered a relationship as a result of working together in the initial network marketing company, and it is doing the same for me and my son. This was a dream come true for me. I always wanted a bond with my mom, but it was shattered after my parents got a divorce and I became rebellious as a result of that. All I ever wanted was a happy family, a mother-daughter relationship and my dad coaching me through life. Hence, I am determined and I am fueled daily to create such a legacy for my children to remember me by, and to empower them to become entrepreneurs as well. I am my kids #1 fan and supporter. TIME and FINANCIAL FREEDOM are important to me, and because of this vehicle called TAVALA, I was able to resign from my job of 18 ½ years, and now I work my TAVALA business full-time.

God has blessed me with a supportive mother and children always by my side and cheering me on. Also, I have outstanding servant-leaders as my uplines, Dave and Joy, Richard and Kathy, a group of hard-working, self-determined individuals on my team. I cannot forget to add a thank you to the man who was determined to get a “yes” that I would join his Tavala team. I kept my word with Hindel that I will sign up after 2 months, so for him, I am forever grateful that he shared this opportunity with me. Thank you all so much for believing in me. I love you all.

In her ‘own words’

Weight has always been a huge part of mine, and my families lives. I’ve watched many family members gain and lose hundreds of pounds throughout our lifetime. So in December of 03 after reaching and all time highest weight of 298 lbs, I decided to “do it”.

I had the original gastric bypass surgery. I lost over a 150 lbs. in a year-ish time. The Quick Fix was over right? Heck no, not even close…… I had numerous life threatening health complications as a direct result of the surgery. So you can imagine my surprise 15 years later when I had gained a good amount of the weight back. I was actually reconsidering having a revision done on my original bypass surgery, when my sister from Las Vegas told me about “some products” that her friend was using and having great weight loss success.

She sent me a month of a few different products and after losing 16 pounds in a few short weeks I was “tickled pink” and knew I needed to get more of “that”. As a best way to continue purchasing the products on a single mom’s budget, I signed up as a distributor with the company. I knew nothing of MLM, and the little I did know- was I was not interested in it . I had been a licensed cosmetologist for over 15 years at that point, and had no interest in doing anything other than that.

Well I’ve always been super social and ran in many different circles. So the business just kind of happened naturally for me. After helping most of my friends and family members I branched out and used Facebook and social media to help others across the world. Fast forward three months and my network marketing career was in full swing. I was able to walk away from a salon I was working full-time at and was on the road to becoming a network marketing professional. Not long after I was at the top of my game traveling from state-to-state regularly doing meetings for my team all over the United States, and loving every minute of it.

You see, I have always “loved people” and “making sure they felt included” and felt “part of”….. it has just been ingrained in me. I can remember family parties when I was in elementary school sitting at the window and waiting for the “next car” to pull up and running outside as fast as I could to welcome people and help them get in the house. I remember my mom saying “Char-Lee, at least let them get through the front door”.

I also had sales and sharing in my in my blood from early on. I can remember going through my neighborhood and picking up rocks from my neighbor’s front yards, then knocking at their front door and explaining to them why they should purchase these rocks from me as they were a perfect match to the rocks they already had. Little did I know they were ‘on to me’ and they just loved me coming by to visit.They always bought their rocks from me, and enjoyed my company.

After almost 5 years with my previous company the rug got pulled out from under “us”. With a simple email we were all informed that they had gone “retail”. Realizing what that meant, that me, nor my massive team would no longer be making any money. Talk about a punch to the gut. I had pretty much decided I was going to go back to a salon full-time and hang up my MLM hat. I just didn’t have it in me to “do it all again” and be fearful of “what if” again.

My mom, and all her wisdom, pointed out to me that she truly thought network marketing was my calling, and that perhaps I should try another company. And that she felt that I was made for network marketing and that it was a true passion of mine. She suggested I do my homework and find a new company. I knew this couldn’t be something taken lightly, as I was looking for a forever home in the MLM industry. I never wanted to be “that girl” who was with a new company every time people turned around. And so the process began.

I requested samples from over 10 companies. And I believe the 7th sample I tried was Tavala. I just knew that I knew this was it. I move pretty fast and within 2 days of joining I had 10 of my peeps involved with me. I had spoken to my upline -her upline- his upline and several people from the corporate team including Tavala’s CEO Allan Davis. I was convinced, this was it.

Everyone has gone above and beyond to help and to reassure us that we are in a safe place. They’ve also acknowledged our fears and help to put them to rest. After having some quick weight loss success (of over 15 pounds in approximately my first 23 days taking the Tavala Trim) I definitely had my fire back. And after getting paid the first Friday after joining the company, and every Friday thereafter, I knew that I had found the magic sauce.

How exciting again!! I am losing weight, feeling great, making money, and even ranked advancing to Palladium in record time (within less than a month of joining the company.) How cool is that, the company rewarded me with an iPad for an efforts, my team members are ranked advancing also and getting awarded as well. Nothing better then barely being able to fall asleep at night and then excitedly waking up the next morning ready to do it all again.

This crazy train is running full steam ahead and there’s no stopping Char-Lee’s Angel’s now. So so so grateful to have found a forever home for me and my tribe. As we are a package deal. Grateful to still be able to work from home though my now 18 and 20 year old kids probably wish I would have gone to work very, very full time very, very far away from home. LOL just kidding they both love me being home and available for them.

I am honored to be able to help my friends and family and their friends and family and their friends and family lose weight feel great again as well as make a strong solid income on top of it.
