Today I was thinking of my ideal Business Partner and Ideal Customer. I made a list, reviewed it twice and then asked if I AM that kind of person. If you have never asked yourself those questions and are in network marketing, give it a try.

So I made my list, reviewed it and evaluated how I measure up…. Ah, a slight reality check. The answer was ‘YES’ in most areas, but not all. So what do I needed to do? Raise MY skill set, my mind set and ‘vibration’ to become the person I’d love to attract. Simple? Not always.

Getting clear on who you want to attract to your business is crucial, otherwise you may end up spending 80% of your time with those who are not actually dedicated to the business. Those people are the ones who will ask questions and waste your time but never be serious about growing the business… but boy do they love the attention they get by asking questions. If you’ve heard of the 80/20% rule, make sure you spend 80% of your time with those who bring you joy and are worthy of your time….AND on your list of ideals.

Personally, I want to work with people I truly like and enjoy being around. That most likely means meeting new people as I may not KNOW these people ‘yet’. In network marketing it is about building a relationship with people -hopefully from ‘now on’, and hopefully a relationship where you remain friends long after one of you decides to do some other business or work with another company…. because let’s face it, things change. I was with a company for over 10 years and there came a time that for my own personal life and goals, I had to move on….so I resigned and joined another company that resonated

much stronger with what I was looking for. Am I still friends with some of my old team mates, you bet!

Hopefully, for us (Dave and I) at this stage in our career, we seriously plan on being with our current company from NOW ON……Yes, it is our 100% desire to work with and be with our current company through the next 10+ years…..into and past retirement. Pie in the sky thinking? I don’t know. But one thing for sure is we don’t jump from company to company…we look for a HOME. (As I said, the last company we were with over 10 years.)

My 8 TOP qualities I’d like to attract to our business? (grab a paper and pen and write yours too.)

Leader: someone who enjoys the role of leader and possesses, and uses Leadership skills.

Self-Motivated and Hungry for Success. It’s not just being self-motivated but someone who is HUNGRY for success and contribution…. someone willing to do what it takes…and needs to make it happen.
Integrity: Someone who does what they say they will do. Keeps their word.
Loves the industry of network marketing. Someone who enjoys helping and teaching others.
Positive outlook. Shines with (and sees) positivities.
Coachable and Trainable. The industry changes, has ebbs and flows, as do all company’s with their products and company growth. Being open to learning new ways and implementing new ideas is crucial.
MLM experience. This is certainly not a requirement, but why NOT want someone who has experience and can bring a team of others with them to the business?

Who are your ideal business associates and customers? I once had a list of over 25 qualities for business partners and 10 qualities for customers, but have honed it down to the ones above.

If I STOP attracting those people that I desire in my life and into my business, I stop and ask myself why. Often times it just takes me reviewing the list and becoming aware. In no time, those ‘kind of people’ then begin to show up again.

(It becomes obvious for me to evaluate when I begin to attract whiny people who complain about everything and always have excuses or blame others! I quickly take off time, evaluate and get clear before I get back in my business mode, especially into recruiting.) 🙂

I have been thinking of statistics of WOMEN in NETWORK MARKETING and recently came upon a blog from Mark Januszewski, aka Mark J. or the “Worlds Laziest Networker”, (http://worldslaziestnetworker.com) that I’d like to share parts of. Please feel free to share this blog as well as contact us. We’d love to hear your thoughts and insights. In quotations you’ll see Mark’s comments….with MY comments in blue. By the way, we met Mark J. through his incredible “Go 90 Grow” online course for network marketers several years ago.

IT’S A PROBLEM

“For some reason guys and MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) companies just don’t get it.

83% of the checks in MLM are cashed by women, according to the DSA.

83%!! (OK so this visual to the left says 82% of women in the US who make $100,000 or more did it through this industry!)

Do guys feel intimidated? Threatened?

You see it with companies all the time…the “Founders” are introduced and with rare exception, four or five guys roll out on stage. (Have you been with a company where this happens on stage? I certainly have!)

The audience goes nuts. I remember sitting there thinking, really, how stupid can we be as a group?

The world is the same way…since men “took over” in the dark ages….which I could argue we are still in.

Prior to that women were revered above men….and any networker who thinks -instead of copies- figures this out quickly.

See, for 1000s of years, it was “mother earth” …the giver of life…men were the protectors and women were the foundation of life.

And isn’t that what you’re trying to do with your business?

Who is better at growing things than the primary caretaker?

Until some do-gooder group with nothing better to do got laws passed, [don’t ask me why], MLM applications had ‘Occupation” on the application.

# 1 success group? Teachers

# 2 success group? Moms

Let’s face it, between teachers and Moms…. and that’s a lot of women!

MLM is a teaching business and Moms are in the business of teaching their kids life skills on a daily basis.

And they are better at it than men. Period. [don’t sweat this; if I learned how, so can you. HINT: watch the women teach]

How can your new teammates successfully do what needs to be done if they don’t know how?

Differences between Men and Women in this industry! Notice how we differ in communication.

GUYS: This is going to be huge! Go talk to people so you don’t miss out!

GALS: Here’s what we need to do to get you started. [notice the word that is inclusive, “we”]

GUYS: Motivational speeches – do all guys think they are Napoleon Hill or Tony Robbins? LMAO

GALS: Hands on support, simple “show and tell”….just like they do with their kids. I’ll stop here, it’s an endless list….let me get to the meat of the discussion.

DEPTH BUILDS DEPTH

Women have intuitively deeper feelings, more depth…..while guys deny their feelings….. and everybody knows it’s a burning desire that forges authentic commitment, not predictions about the future.

So I always, given the choice, recruited and promoted women into key roles…women crushed the role, guys did not.

And then….just when I thought I had done enough to carry this so simple truth to the MLM community, I was taught yet another priceless lesson…by a woman, of course.

I promise the “Secret” Hill writes about….the key that has opened a life second to none….is stated over and over and over….many ways in this dynamic woman.

I am a self-motivated, self-driven 41 year-old single Mompreneur with three adorable children; my son is an 18-year old soccer athlete and I have two incredibly talented trilingual daughters, ages 10 and 9.

Growing up as a child, I have always found myself motivating, inspiring, and encouraging my peers to tap into their inner gifts, which will eventually ignite a fire inside of them to pursue their God-given purpose, which I believe would someday make one “wealthy.” Believe me, I did not understand what my purpose in life was either, until I discovered a world called “Network Marketing” in 1999, after having my son. That is when I first heard of the industry.

I never imagine having a child out of wedlock at the age of 22, would have brought me to a place called “Purpose.” I was scared, broke and broken, and most significantly, I was disappointed with myself. I was between a rock and a hard place, and was left in the valley of decision. I was scared because I felt as if I would bring so much pain, shame and disappointment to my mother, because I got pregnant a few months after returning home from college after receiving my bachelor’s degree, and I did not give myself time to pursue my dream to become a Motivational Speaker.

I was broke and broken because, I did not have a full-time job coupled with the fact that I needed to make a decision as to whether or not I would abort my child and not hurt my mom. This whole ordeal made me question myself as I felt that I had not only disappointed myself, but I had also failed those that believed in me.

Six weeks after delivering my son, who is affectionately called “RJ”, I was hired full-time as a Computer Programmer in a government agency in The Bahamas. I took the job just to regain my grace with my mom. Not one day went by without me feeling unfulfilled while working 9 to 5 because I was just collecting a paycheck. (No passion!) But one day, I was on the bus and a stranger said these words to me, “You look like a striving young lady, would you be open to me showing you how I make extra money part-time” and my reply was “Sure.”

That night she came by my mom’s house and introduced me to the Network Marketing industry, and to this day, whenever I see Ms. Denise White, I hug and kiss her, because she rescued me from that place called broken. This industry of Network Marketing has brought my relationship with my mother closer and I am most grateful. In that moment, I discovered that many persons are searching to find something different and more fulfilling in their lives.

We all join this industry for different reasons, and for this, we must be sensitive and have an open ear to hear what people are silently saying in most cases. Some join to connect with like-minded people like themselves, some join to foster a better relationship in their marriage, family and/or for personal development, some join for tax-deductions, some join for the money, and sometimes some people may join just to be accepted or to feel as if they belong. Then, on the other hand, some people join because it is the only family they have got. You get to meet such a diverse, cultural and ethnic group of people from all walks of life.

As for me, here is why I love this industry of Network Marketing so much! Network Marketing saved my relationship with my mother and has brought us some much closer. We have fostered a relationship as a result of working together in the initial network marketing company, and it is doing the same for me and my son. This was a dream come true for me. I always wanted a bond with my mom, but it was shattered after my parents got a divorce and I became rebellious as a result of that. All I ever wanted was a happy family, a mother-daughter relationship and my dad coaching me through life. Hence, I am determined and I am fueled daily to create such a legacy for my children to remember me by, and to empower them to become entrepreneurs as well. I am my kids #1 fan and supporter. TIME and FINANCIAL FREEDOM are important to me, and because of this vehicle called TAVALA, I was able to resign from my job of 18 ½ years, and now I work my TAVALA business full-time.

God has blessed me with a supportive mother and children always by my side and cheering me on. Also, I have outstanding servant-leaders as my uplines, Dave and Joy, Richard and Kathy, a group of hard-working, self-determined individuals on my team. I cannot forget to add a thank you to the man who was determined to get a “yes” that I would join his Tavala team. Weight has always been a huge part of mine, and my families lives. I’ve watched many family members gain and lose hundreds of pounds throughout our lifetime. So in December of 03 after reaching and all time highest weight of 298 lbs, I decided to “do it”.

I had the original gastric bypass surgery. I lost over a 150 lbs. in a year-ish time. The Quick Fix was over right? Heck no, not even close…… I had numerous life threatening health complications as a direct result of the surgery. So you can imagine my surprise 15 years later when I had gained a good amount of the weight back. I was actually reconsidering having a revision done on my original bypass surgery, when my sister from Las Vegas told me about “some products” that her friend was using and having great weight loss success.

She sent me a month of a few different products and after losing 16 pounds in a few short weeks I was “tickled pink” and knew I needed to get more of “that”. As a best way to continue purchasing the products on a single mom’s budget, I signed up as a distributor with the company. I knew nothing of MLM, and the little I did know- was I was not interested in it . I had been a licensed cosmetologist for over 15 years at that point, and had no interest in doing anything other than that.

Well I’ve always been super social and ran in many different circles. So the business just kind of happened naturally for me. After helping most of my friends and family members I branched out and used Facebook and social media to help others across the world. Fast forward three months and my network marketing career was in full swing. I was able to walk away from a salon I was working full-time at and was on the road to becoming a network marketing professional. Not long after I was at the top of my game traveling from state-to-state regularly doing meetings for my team all over the United States, and loving every minute of it.

You see, I have always “loved people” and “making sure they felt included” and felt “part of”….. it has just been ingrained in me. I can remember family parties when I was in elementary school sitting at the window and waiting for the “next car” to pull up and running outside as fast as I could to welcome people and help them get in the house. I remember my mom saying “Char-Lee, at least let them get through the front door”.

I also had sales and sharing in my in my blood from early on. I can remember going through my neighborhood and picking up rocks from my neighbor’s front yards, then knocking at their front door and explaining to them why they should purchase these rocks from me as they were a perfect match to the rocks they already had. Little did I know they were ‘on to me’ and they just loved me coming by to visit.They always bought their rocks from me, and enjoyed my company.

After almost 5 years with my previous company the rug got pulled out from under “us”. With a simple email we were all informed that they had gone “retail”. Realizing what that meant, that me, nor my massive team would no longer be making any money. Talk about a punch to the gut. I had pretty much decided I was going to go back to a salon full-time and hang up my MLM hat. I just didn’t have it in me to “do it all again” and be fearful of “what if” again.

My mom, and all her wisdom, pointed out to me that she truly thought network marketing was my calling, and that perhaps I should try another company. And that she felt that I was made for network marketing and that it was a true passion of mine. She suggested I do my homework and find a new company. I knew this couldn’t be something taken lightly, as I was looking for a forever home in the MLM industry. I never wanted to be “that girl” who was with a new company every time people turned around. And so the process began.

I requested samples from over 10 companies. And I believe the 7th sample I tried was Tavala. I just knew that I knew this was it. I move pretty fast and within 2 days of joining I had 10 of my peeps involved with me. I had spoken to my upline -her upline- his upline and several people from the corporate team including Tavala’s CEO Allan Davis. I was convinced, this was it.

Everyone has gone above and beyond to help and to reassure us that we are in a safe place. They’ve also acknowledged our fears and help to put them to rest. After having some quick weight loss success (of over 15 pounds in approximately my first 23 days taking the Tavala Trim) I definitely had my fire back. And after getting paid the first Friday after joining the company, and every Friday thereafter, I knew that I had found the magic sauce.

How exciting again!! I am losing weight, feeling great, making money, and even ranked advancing to Palladium in record time (within less than a month of joining the company.) How cool is that, the company rewarded me with an iPad for an efforts, my team members are ranked advancing also and getting awarded as well. Nothing better then barely being able to fall asleep at night and then excitedly waking up the next morning ready to do it all again.

This crazy train is running full steam ahead and there’s no stopping Char-Lee’s Angel’s now. So so so grateful to have found a forever home for me and my tribe. As we are a package deal. Grateful to still be able to work from home though my now 18 and 20 year old kids probably wish I would have gone to work very, very full time very, very far away from home. LOL just kidding they both love me being home and available for them.

I am honored to be able to help my friends and family and their friends and family and their friends and family lose weight feel great again as well as make a strong solid income on top of it. After all, isn’t “helping others” what this is all about?? So if I can ever EVER help you with anything, I mean anything- I’m only a call or message away. It’s with pleasure to introduce you to “Powerhouse” Zeth Francis, from the Bahamas.

In her own words….

“The Senator” is what they call me in my professional life & throughout the islands of The Bahamas, but my birth name is “Zeth” meaning “investigator,” “Appointed & “the replacement.”

When one was given a name with so many significance, it’s with conviction I MUST succeed at anything I do. Nevertheless, not in a million years would I have thought I would be taking weight loss supplements. Especially, strangely since as a teenager I’ve always taken products to make me GAIN weight (Crazy I know).

Growing up on 2 small islands Nassau & Freeport (Bahamas) I became a teenage mother forcing me at a young ago to be an entrepreneur.

About a year leading up to the September 11th tragedy, I had owned two successful businesses and due to the halt of visiting tourists, resulting in the downturn in the economy in our country, I was forced to closed one business in 2001 & the other in 2012. Needless to say I had to MAKE something happen, so I became a talk show host & got job as a Quality Analyst. Well one day things changed & I became unemployed, struggling with trying to stay above water selling clothing and doing whatever I could do.

But it physically, mentally & emotionally took a toll on my life, laying around the house eating and drinking everything I shouldn’t I had gained a lot of weight. Its amazing to see how I watched my body changed 3 times in my lifetime- once at 15 during my teenage pregnancy, twice after my daughter at age 36 & thirdly due to being unemployed.

Then one day my cousin Natasha called me and said she had a new Weight Loss product called Tavala Trim that she wanted me to try & how I can also get paid.

Needless to say I was NOT interested, but started sending her clients who I knew wanted to lose weight. Then a few weeks later- to my surprise as I checked my emails, I was like ‘ WDH’ is this? Are you looking for a way you can earn income from home? A way you can still have a balance in your family life, choose the hours you work and not have to report back to anyone or stamp a time clock? Do your research. If you are entrepreneurial and self motivated, you’ll find that with network marketing you own your own business, but don’t have the overhead or the start up business costs of a traditional business…. and your income you can earn has no ceiling. You can be in the black your first week!

With careful research and tapping into the industries you LOVE, you can find a great company that will be a good fit. But I caution here- don’t join the first business that is presented to you or better yet, make sure you join a solid company where the timing, the products, the financial backing and the support from ‘team’ will be best for you. This is especially true if you are only wanting to put 5-20 hours a week into your business. Put another way, interview the company as well as the person presenting the opportunity, as if it were a ‘job’ interview.

I got into network marketing when I was a single mom of two children. It made sense to me- seemed easy to share a product I was passionate about with others, and I could easily make $300 a month income, which was my original goal. My first month- to my surprise, I earned enough money to pay my condo mortgage. I was hooked.

If you’re a woman who is currently a stay-at-home mom let’s talk. It is my passion to help other women in this industry. Women are natural ‘networkers’. We love to chat and share with others. Just think of how you found your dentist, doctor, favorite restaurant, heard about your favorite book or went to a recent movie based on a referral. Most likely someone recommended those things to you.

We work with a team of people where we really CARE ABOUT and where we HAVE PASSION for one another and each others success. We have an amazing TEAM CULTURE.

Make sure you find those things in your team if you decide this is the industry for you. Do you enjoy recognition? Travel? Making new friends? Making a difference in peoples health? in their life? Congratulations on taking a look at TAVALA and then deciding that Tavala IS the company you wish to partner with.

If you’re about to join Tavala no doubt you’ve found that Tavala has many unique qualities and is different than most network marketing companies out there. You’ll also find because Tavala is unique and different, that there will be far less resistance when you share the opportunity and products. A couple of ways they are unique and there is less, if ANY resistance is that there is no joining fee- ever!

Also customers and members pay the same low price….and we get paid 10% MORE on our customers.

What is the most important question you can ask?

This could be one of the most important steps. Make sure that you align with the right team for you. Do your homework and check out and see who the leaders in Tavala are and what training they have in place for their teams. Will they be there to support you and your team? Do they work Tavala exclusively or do they balance 2-3 other “MLM” opportunities? Will they be around 1 year from now? I know many times people feel bad if they don’t join with the first person who shared the opportunity with them but heck, this is a business, and hopefully a long term partnership between you and your up line sponsors and support team.

How you begin is most likely how your team will begin. The absolute best and fastest way to grow your business is by starting with one of the Builder Boxes. For a low investment of only $399.99 you will receive product for yourself and 40 samples to hand out to your potential customers and partners. (This ex. is with the TRIM Builder Box)

Think about it, it is much easier to say TRY this -rather than BUY this! It is also very easy to ask someone who they may know who would be interested in more energy, a boost in their metabolism and losing weight (if the discussion is the TRIM Builder Box). Some people sell the samples for $9.99 and Tavala even has an App that you can use for this purpose, but in our opinion if you are looking for the FASTEST growth and duplication, buying the Builder Box and sampling for free will get you up and running and in a positive cash flow within weeks- or less.
This is not to say that you can’t have success starting out with a smaller box called the Alpha Box for only $199.99 box that also 16 samples…. but if you are looking to make it big with Tavala, you’ll do best by getting up and started quickly.

3. Becoming a product OF the product is extremely beneficial and something we personally suggest. Most leaders also agree that purchasing the Experience Pack (One of each of the products, minus the Tamanu Organics, a 4-system skin care system) is the way to go. 4. And here is where things get easily identified. Whose Team you join is important – if not crucial! You’ll want to use a duplication system to have effective follow up with proper distribution of the samples and customers … and if done correctly (not selling) the money will show up….and it will come quickly! Have you ever heard that the money is in the follow up?

Does the team you are joining have this in place and if so, do you have access to it? Do they have weekly team training, Social Media Groups like Facebook? Do they share their You-Tube video trainings and blogs with their teams? Are they available for 3-Way calls? Do they CARE about you or will you be just a number in their organization?
