Reduce Pain Powerstrips

Reduce Pain We just learned about FG Xress’s Powerstrips from our friend and CEO of Forevergreen, Ron Williams . ForeverGreen is a 9 year old company based in Orem, UT.

Reduce PainRon Williams recently returned from an insightful trip to Korea where he met with Power Strips inventor, Dr. Minsu Kim. Here is Ron’s account:

“I continue to be amazed at the layers of thought that went into the creation of Power Strips. I learned on this trip that the Korean Red Ginseng is fermented to triple the active opponent levels. WOW!!!

Additionally, while visiting Dr. Kim at the Integrated Medicine Institute, at Korea University, he shared a private PowerPoint with me. In this PowerPoint he used a special infrared thermal imaging camera and took a picture of his own back without a Power Strip, and then took another picture of his back with the Power Strip fifteen minutes after the application. Reduce PainAs you can see in these photos the profound affect Power Strips have on energy and circulation.

“There is much more to this story that he will share at our launch in Las Vegas this summer regarding multiple uses including body contouring and cellulite. But I will leave you with this… These photos inspired me to go home to my hotel and put two Power Strips just below my calf and above my heel. Reduce PainI did this right before bed because when I jet lag the feeling is a complete depletion of energy. So the next morning when I woke up instead of squeaky ankles etc… I felt weightless!

I recommend everyone try them at least once especially if you are like me a skeptic. This would explain why FG Xpress is booming”.

Divine Discontent

Divine Discontent

Growing up, and at a young age, I knew I wanted to accomplish many things in this lifetime. At a young age I knew I wanted to see the world. I wanted to meet new people, travel to exotic places and make a huge impact on “something” worthwhile. I thought having lofty dreams and goals were a good thing but my mother would always repeat the same comment…Why can’t you be satisfied with what you have”? Or “Why do you always have to strive for something more?” I took that as a negative and began to doubt my desires for more. Maybe I should be happy with what I have….or am I just discontent?

Several years ago, on April 5th, I read an excerpt from Alan Cohen, from the book “A Deep Breath of Life”. It spoke to me……

It was entitled Divine Discontent and it read…..

“There is a part of us that will not let us be content until we become all that we are capable of being. Life is not about resting on our laurels and hanging out in our comfort zone; Jack Boland urged, “Do not let good be the enemy of better”. Your current situation may be good, but if a greater opportunity presents itself, you must be open to expand. This does not mean you are to run away or violate your integrity. If, however, you can step ahead with honestly, honor and peace, you will enjoy the benefits of living in a larger universe.

Muscles stay strong and flexible only by use and stretching, and so does our mind. Challenge is the universes way of showing us that we are bigger than we thought we were.”

Divine Discontent- what is it?

divine discontentThere’s a phrase that we use in knowing when it’s time for you to stretch. That phrase is, “divine discontent.” Divine discontent is what you feel when you get that urge of boredom. “Things are not happening. It’s time to move on. I’m not happy here. There’s something missing in my life.”

Divine Discontent…

Remember these words. They mean that you’re not reaching your potential. There’s something else for you to do. It could be anything from a change of job to a new opportunity to adding hobbies or developing something in another way. Your soul pushes you and nudges you to always be greater than you are, to reach out a little bit more, to do a little bit more.

If you get to a point that you feel like saying “Is that all there is?” I’m going to be like this for the rest of my life? Do I really want to do that?” then it’s time to make a change. If you don’t stretch yourself, you reach a point where all of a sudden even though you’re doing everything right, you’re just sort of bored where you are, and then chaos happens. The unexpected that you don’t want happens. All of a sudden you’re in a place where you wonder, “How in the world? What did I do to create this situation?” If you reach a point like that, you go into denial. “This is not my truth.”

Tell the Universe that your next step is here and now, so that you can move through this and get to the next part very quickly and very easily. How do you know that you’re right at the point of a new level of receiving? Well, that’s the divine discontent that you feel. That’s something there that you’re not reaching for. Your soul is saying, “I really would like to have a new step here.” Remember that life comes to us through steps.

“I’m ready for the next step of my divine plan, which is greater health, happiness and prosperity.” Your divine plan is to be happy, healthy, whole, prosperous, complete in all ways, able to manifest and do and give and share all that you want to give, do and share. That is your divine plan. Don’t settle…

divine discontentBless your dreams, your desires, and your sense that there must be more. There is more because you are more!

Health Benefits of Dark Chocolate

Health Benefits of Dark Chocolate

A friend of mine shares health tips several times a week via email and one topic in particular is of interest to me. I work with many women who are concerned with their health, weight and well-being and this topic comes up more than once a week. It is especially timing as we just finished the EASTER holiday and with all the news about the health benefits of dark chocolate I am still amazed at how many people avoid it or associate it with guilt….especially women. Read on, ladies, dark chocolate has many health benefits. As with anything, moderation is the key!

woman-eating-chocolate-111x150 I may very well be a rare woman who doesn’t have strong cravings for dark chocolate, but for those of you who do this info may be liberating. Can you resist a yummy piece of chocolate? And what if you found out by fact, that it is not only good for you but has many healthy and long lasting health benefits? Would you like that? Would that free you from your guilty chocolate indulgences? Perhaps even, when you have cravings it IS because your body is craving some of these nutrients and minerals.

Food scientists all over the world suggest that dark chocolate contains all the necessary compounds and minerals to prevent major chronic heart condition and disorders. The beneficial compounds, flavonoids are present in both raw and processed state of the dark chocolate.

Now, that might come as a surprise to more than half of the world’s population! You might have already heard how a bit of chocolate can actually be good for your heart and here we are not talking about the processed milk chocolate with added sugar. We are talking about the raw dark chocolate, the bitter, less sweet cousin of chocolate that most of us know.

Going back in history we can see that the key ingredient cacao, native to the Americas, has a rich source of some of the most vital nutrients. As with everything, moderation is the key, but check out some of the many health benefits of eating dark chocolate – even daily.

Health Benefits of Dark Chocolate:

dark-chocolate-150x113Being a rich source of iron, it is helpful for people with anemia.

  • Improves the brain functions by increasing the flow of blood.
  • Helps retain youthfulness owing to a high antioxidant content
  • High magnesium content helps ease constipation and menstrual cramps
  • Helps strengthen your immune system with a substantial zinc content
  • Vitamin C and omega 6 fatty acids in raw chocolate aids a healthy digestive and immune system

Perhaps ladies, you are more intuitive that you thought. Follow those healthy cravings- indulge in the right dark chocolates and enjoy a new stress-free chocolate experience.

Dark Chocolate

some of my personal favorites

A great source of dark chocolate can be purchased here in my home town of Burlington Vermont, from a company called Lake Champlain Chocolates. (www.lakechamlainchocolates.com) If you are a fan of dark organic chocolate and enjoy smoothies or meal replacement shakes the best by far that I have ever come across is a product called THUNDER. https://www.poweredbyforevergreen.org/shop/catalog.aspx?ck=JL21Y9lr2M5VZewyyV0yqS3LdfHbBLhoJCdagONkbP2dL%2bjnGPCuXSoOQnsEvZ0bgXYCa62kg883O5mJMhehaA%3d%3d

Worry- an Unnecessary Emotion

Worry- an Unnecessary Emotion

I love this story. What a great analogy of the burden of the emotion called “worry”.

Once upon a time a psychology professor walked around on a stage while teaching stress management principles to an auditorium filled with students. As she raised a glass of water, everyone expected they’d be asked the typical “glass half empty or glass half full” question. Instead, with a smile on her face, the professor asked, “How heavy is this glass of water I’m holding?”

Students shouted out answers ranging from eight ounces to a couple pounds.

She replied, “From my perspective, the absolute weight of this glass doesn’t matter. It all depends on how long I hold it. If I hold it for a minute or two, it’s fairly light. If I hold it for an hour straight, its weight might make my arm ache a little. If I hold it for a day straight, my arm will likely cramp up and feel completely numb and paralyzed, forcing me to drop the glass to the floor. In each case, the weight of the glass doesn’t change, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it feels to me.” worry

As the class shook their heads in agreement, she continued, “Your stresses and worries in life are very much like this glass of water. Think about them for a while and nothing happens. Think about them a bit longer and you begin to ache a little. Think about them all day long, and you will feel completely numb and paralyzed – incapable of doing anything else until you drop them.”

Lesson on Worry

It’s important to remember to let go of your stresses and worries. No matter what happens during the day, as early in the evening as you can, put all your burdens down. Don’t carry them through the night and into the next day with you. If you still feel the weight of yesterday’s stress, it’s a strong sign that it’s time to put the ‘glass down’.

Worry- what does the word mean?

The definition of a worry is something that causes you to feel uneasy or anxious, or a troubled state of mind.

(noun)

  1. 1. Not having any money is an example of a financial worry.
  2. 2. The feeling you experience when you are concerned and nervous about something is an example of worry.

To worry is defined as to feel anxiety or nervousness.

(verb)

Word History: Worrying may shorten one’s life, but not as quickly as it once did. The ancestor of our word, Old English wyrgan, meant “to strangle.” Its Middle English descendant, worien, kept this sense and developed the new sense “to grasp by the throat with the teeth and lacerate” or “to kill or injure by biting and shaking.” This is the way wolves or dogs might attack sheep, for example. In the 16th century worry began to be used in the sense “to harass, as by rough treatment or attack,” or “to assault verbally,” and in the 17th century the word took on the sense “to bother, distress, or persecute.” It was a small step from this sense to the main modern senses “to cause to feel anxious or distressed” and “to feel troubled or uneasy,” first recorded in the 19th century.

I Had it All Along- Rediscovering my Passion!

Rediscovering my Passion

Today I woke up and just HAD to get to my laptop before my ideas left my consciousness. I really DO need to begin sleeping with a pad of paper and pen next to my bed again!

I had a very deep conversation, with a dear friend the other day. We were both talking about rediscovering or perhaps even finding our passions. We both began new marketing businesses within the past year but unlike our other business ventures these have only trickled with the success we desire or are accustomed to. In fact, quite clearly, the Universe may be telling us we already have it ALL and to STOP looking OUTSIDE ourselves for something our souls already know. Perhaps WE are our own stumbling blocks!

As she and I shared our insights on where we are in our lives, we both shared how as life coaches, we successfully assist others in discovering their live path and passion.

We also both laughed and shared our experiences of going through menopause, and as I lay in bed early this morning, I realize when I am uptight, unsure and have an “inner conflict” it triggers a hot flash- or internal burning…that travels right up my body and flushes my face creating the color of a tomato. I realized this morning that my FLUSH as it is sometimes called by others, may be my own bodies wisdom on removing what is no longer needed in my life or serving me. I have heard of women who have embraced their “flushes” and the negative intensity shifts. I shall try this.

courage-and-passion-to-live-your-life-150x150Back to my story of my friend and my conversation the other day- friend to friend, coach to coach. I have known Patricia for close to 2 decades and always have admired her for her sense of self, her independence and successful coaching and training business that has taken her all over the world. Someday, I remember thinking to myself (especially following a divorce in my late 40’s) I want HER life! Well as it turns out, her life is quite perfect for her and mine is already perfect for me! If I was traveling the world- I would not be available for the daily joys and happenings of my aging parents or my daughter and two young granddaughters. I would not have witnessed or been available to help create my son’s recent marriage to a beautiful Australian woman who simply swept him off his feet with love and adoration. (They gave me less than two week notice of the date of the special event!) I would have been somewhere else with business obligations. If I were traveling the world, I would not be here enjoying my deep love and relationship with Dave, whom I met over 6 years ago. So why would I ever wish to be anyone other than who I already am? A lesson I want to embrace fully is to enjoy the HERE and NOW with a full sense of gratitude.

Passion For What You Already Have

As Patricia and I began to talk I am sure she saw some things in what I said about my life, much like I did about hers. As a coach and professional speaker, she has enough material in her arsenal of seminars/coaching and “sharing” to write a book. In fact, for the past 10 years I believe she has been working on her “book”. So while both she and I are looking outside ourselves, what we have it RIGHT HERE in the here and now and being made available to us. We just haven’t been looking in the right direction.

She went on to explain how she is blessed to live on the beautiful island of Maui with an amazing and supportive partner who happens to be an incredible Italian artist. She was sharing with me how she admires that he goes to his art studio not trying to paint, but to create from inspiration and spirit. The end result is always a beautiful piece of art that he is happy with and others wish to purchase. Money flows into his hands without effort or consideration of finding his passion.

She mentioned that he recently told her to “relax” about finding or rediscovering her passion- it sounds like a wise idea. Reflecting on a recent story I wrote about the author of EAT PRAY LOVE, Elizabeth Gilbert whom after her stellar success with her book…. couldn’t find her passion. She was a writer, that WAS her passion and yet she simply couldn’t finish the book she had started. (https://joysfaves.com//finding-your-passion/) Simply put, Elizabeth faced a writer’s block so what did she do? She stopped writing, did something totally unrelated- and took up gardening. And in the process, her passion returned without forcing and she wrote another great book, called “Commitment.”

What is interesting here is Patricia was telling me that Maui is the ideal place in the world for writers and artists, in fact, many of her friends share those creative talents. And here she is living in paradise for a writer, with few financial obligations and she is striving outside where she is- hoping to discover her next mark she wishes to make in the world. The difference is when we live our lives as “ human beings” and rather than “human doers.” How do I know? Because I am going through a similar experience back here in Vermont! Ditto, carbon copy- in my 50’s and wanting to create MORE and hoping that what I decide to do on a business level will accelerate the process. That I’ll wake up one day with an AH-HA- moment getting a message from the UNIVERSE saying this is it! Only it happened a little different, this morning, when I woke up, I realized the AH-HA message is we both already have it- we both own/know our personal passions. We have been doing it in one form or another for decades! It is nothing new. It may be different, but it nothing new!

So how does this relate to the businesses I am in? Well, for starters, one of my deep passions is assisting people lead healthier lives on all levels- body, mind and spirit. Daily I read and share different tips or insights with those people I meet, care about and love. So the UNIVERSE has given me two ways I can work within my personal passions. As random as it sounds, one is working with a product called NeriumAD and the other an internet blogging program with Empower Network.

In 2004 I was diagnosed with squamous skin cancer on my right shoulder. I believe that experience has assisted me in so many ways- by number 1, never allowing my physical body to get too out of balance and also that taking care of the largest organ in the body which is the SKIN is of utmost importance. I do this through healthy living, natural healthy foods and non-chemical skin care products. NeriumAD has been a product that not only addresses physical imbalances and natural occurances like aging, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, pore size but also sun damage. It has worked miracles on my pre-cancer spots called actinic keratosis. I will never be without it!

The second is the Blogging platform with Empower Network. Years ago I did a blog on my personal experience doing a whole-foods cleanse. Years later I still have people tell me they really enjoyed my blog and got inspired by it to begin living a more natural life with healthier foods. I had no idea at that time that blogging = journaling with an internet presence that lasts a life time. WOW, what an incredible way to begin impacting the world, one person at a time, from the comforts of my own home! And as I attract people to my blog, I build relationships, build contacts, share information, attract people who enjoy similar things as I do, and can earn income.

live-a-life-that-matters-150x150In our last conversation I told Patricia that for some odd reason I keep avoiding my personal calling- It shows up in my life with ease and I quickly dismiss it. And yet the Universe never seems to give up on me. Women in their 30s, 40,s 50,s and beyond reach out to me for personal training and coaching and I reluctantly agree to assist them. How ungrateful is that!?! I know it seems obvious that the Universe is already supporting me- and yet I discount the message….up until now. Today things changed- things shifted!

Giving Power to my Passions

Today I will begin to embrace those “synchronistic” phone calls, emails, text messages or “internal messages” that come to me. I will attend those events and have a meaningful connection with people that cross my path. In doing so I have no question in my mind that I will be back with pep in my step and embracing the work that I am meant to do with unstoppable passion.

The other day Patricia mentioned knowing what her calling was at a young age and on some level I did as well. Later in college I designed my major in community health and counseling. 25+ years later I went on to become a certified Personal Trainer and Transformational Coach. THOSE are the talents, gifts I have to impact the world- with women in particular.

It was here all along. I didn’t see it. I ignored it! The majority of income that has been flowing into my life has been within these arenas. Now that I have asked the Universe to make it CEO, Clear-Easy-and Obvious I think I get it. However none of this was on my mind until my conversation with my friend. I didn’t see it in myself at first, we rarely do- but seeing that SHE has it all right now in EVERY impeccable way-and that the Universe is supporting her 100%- I began to reflect on my own life and noticed it as well. What a beautiful ah-ha moment! And to think it took taking 24 hours OFF from business, playing with my two granddaughters, to see it Clear, Easy and Obvious- I had it all along!

Now I am off to call my friend to see if this info has any relevance in her life…and then I am going to encourage her to see that THIS is the perfect time to write her book…which in my mind, will be a future best seller! The Universe has made this possible in EVERY possible way. “Ya just gotta love it…..”

TRIPLE YOUR RATE OF FAILURE AND YOU MIGHT SUCCEED

What are you afraid of failing at?

Taking risks, doing things that are outside your comfort zone, or making mistakes? You’ve heard the question “What would you do if you knew you could not fail?” Well, writer and business man, Og Mandino, did this question one better. When he was asked what the secret of success was, he replied,“You should triple your rate of failure.”

What could you get from trying to fail?

  • You learn. You get a direct insight that is going to stay with you better than reading any blog post. This can be even more effective if you keep a record of what caused you to fail.
  • You get through it. Every time you fail, you learn a little more about what you can take. You learn more about who you are, and what you’ve got in you. You realize, “Yes, I can get through this. I’ve survived this and now I’m ready for more.” You know the future is going to be awesome.
  • You get perspective. Most of the things you worry about happening will never happen. It’s like being afraid to look under the bed with a flashlight because you are scared of what may get you. If you look anyway, to your utter disbelief you find … the cat. Sure, something is going to happen when you try, but when you actually try to fail, you will find that even messing up is almost never as bad as you think it is.
  • You stop worrying about what others think. You are trying to do all the things that you thought meant failing. What is someone else going to say to stop you, “you might fail”? You are now free to say, “du-uh”!

What about tripling your rate of failure?

If you want to triple it, you can’t afford to stay down. You fail, get up, and you do it again. You keep trying to fail, until you get so good at it that you miss the mark. Then, when you fail at failing, you’ve just made the mistake of succeeding. Oh well, can’t win ‘em all.

So what are the best ways to fail?

  • Make sure you do the things you want to do. As awesome as it is to go against the flow … make sure that it’s your flow that you go with. If you go with everything that every other rebel does, then it’s just as bad as if you followed the mainstream. Listen to your own voice.
  • Look for where the risk of not trying is higher than the risk of failing. You only have one life to live, and it’s not going to live itself without you. Do not go to the end of your life without making sure that you didn’t waste it!
  • Always get up and try again. Commit to following through. It is going to take time to fail as many times as you need to. If every time you fail, you get back up, you will just keep getting a little better.

It’s always possible to fail, so why fight it? Run head first at the things you were afraid of failing at. People learn best through trial and error.

Make the errors.

There will never be a time when you know that you won’t fail. So what? Instead of trying to trick your mind into thinking that failure is impossible, embrace the possibility of failure. It’s just not worth living your life in fear of failing.

So, I dare you to try to fail.

You just might make the mistake of succeeding.
