When is it time to switch MLM companies?

Do you know when is it time to switch MLM Companies?

Well, the short answer is, there is really no good time. We found that we stayed a year or 2 longer than we should at our last company. It just creeps up on you, we all can become complacent and used to the way things are. Even if they stink! We started saying, “It’s does stink that bad!” What the hell happened to us?

First signs

Here’s a couple of ways to begin realizing things are not working as good as they could be:

  1. Your down line is stagnant. Very few or “0” are moving forward, breaking ranks.
  2. Fewer and fewer people are showing up to your “Team” calls or webinars. Many times its the same few people, who aren’t getting great results, but want to feel the team vibe.
  3. You’re having to run interference between your team and the corporate staff! (your Team already gets it)
  4. Your check is going down due to nothing you’ve done! We stayed a year plus longer cause we kept listening to the company, we call it drinking the Kool-Aid and not seeing what was happening. We saw it, but were not responding to what was “real” only what we thought or were told was real.

These are all key areas that show up slowly, and lull us to sleep.

How it used to be!

Here is a short list of how it felt and your results when it was rolling!

  1. We were having fun! It didn’t matter how late it was our how many hours we worked !
  2. Our checks were going up every week !
  3. Excitement was in the air and had the Team excited !
  4. Great numbers and passion on the team calls !
  5. A feeling of invincibility !
  6. There were no excuses from corporate!

We get it, you likely know all this. We’re not telling you something you don’t know, we’re just trying to nudge you out of a slumber and rekindle your passion and love for this industry or at least for the people you have helped. You team is still looking toward you for the next step!

Leaders go first (Leaders may eat last, but we always go first!) Time to make another scary decision, just like when you joined your last company…. there was at least some uncertainty, a stepping into the unknown. And there was excitement!

Here’s the overview of what we found

If you’re a proven leader in this industry and are beginning to feel, “what else is available out there to have your teams grow?”

Products that people feel quickly (and that share easily)
No enrollment fees
No required autoship
Same price for members as customers
Getting paid more on customers
Super strong compensation plan (Uni-level) with 4 weeks bonuses from $350 up to $2000
Rank advance bonuses from $10k to $1,000,000

There’s more, but all of this doesn’t matter if shifting your company hasn’t crossed your mind. I didn’t say shifting your course, because you have the same course (success, helping others, making a difference, and making great money) but simply shifting the company you keep!

Is it time to have fun and make money again?

Thinking of Changing MLM Companies?

Thinking of Changing MLM Companies?

I was speaking with a friend the other day and we were talking about our experience of leaving a network marketing company that we once loved, but one that was no longer serving our goals in life or our finances like it once had.

He had left a company after being with them for over 22 years- one where he had earned over $3 Million dollars. I could relate as we had recently resigned from a company I had been with for over 10 years. We both decided to WALK AWAY from the monthly check… breaking ties in order to be authentic in our conversations with friends who were looking to join our new companies or opportunity.

What neither of us expected was that leaving a company we once loved on so many levels, from the corporate staff, the team, the product, the friendships, trips etc. was like a divorce. It hurt. But sometimes you have to do what is best for YOU and your families, your peace of mind. What did pleasantly surprise both of us is that many- if not most people remained friends no matter what we did or where we went. These people were true friends…not just by being affiliated with the same MLM company. Dave and I call them our HOT TUB FRIENDS, people we enjoy spending time with – enough that we’d be in a hot tub together with an adult beverage in hand and simply have FUN.

Then there were the so-called friends who as soon as you change companies, UNFRIEND you on Facebook, or talk bad about our decisions for our lives. They are upset and say it is not fair that you are leaving the company, while they choose to stay there. I just don’t get it. Real friends want what is best for you and your family- right???? Imagine being a waiter at a restaurant and you could earn 3x the money being a waiter at another restaurant. People would wish you well and say you made a great decision for your life, right? or another analogy is a car sales man who changes the dealership because it is a better financial opportunity for him and his family, and besides, he enjoys selling that new brand of automobile over the one at his past dealership. It’d be silly to talk bad about them for their decision, right? So I don’t quite get it why network marketing is any different.

My point here is to to do what is best for you.

Sometimes you just have to follow your inner guidance and JUST DO IT! Follow your intuitive self- the one that guides you to what is best for you in your life. The direction….EVEN if it is more difficult that staying in the status quo or familiarity.

Do the Thing – Just Do It- HAVE THE COURAGE to move in the direction of your dreams.

I found this brief video clip motivational and hope you do too. So whatever change you may be looking at in your life, if it supports your goals and dreams go for it.

Can Changing MLM Companies Be Like a Divorce?

I recently heard the analogy that “Changing MLM Companies Can Be Like a Divorce.”

For those out there who have been divorced, you may know how difficult it can be terminating a relationship, ESPECIALLY one where you still care for or even love. But being true to yourself you know that in your heart, that the relationship is no longer the best or healthiest relationship for you to be in and you make the painful change.

The same can apply to loving a company you have been with in the Network Marketing industry, perhaps one you have been in with many years. At some point, there may be a time that your goals and visions shift, or that you need to make more residual income and you find some other company that is a better fit.

network marketing and work placeThis doesn’t mean that you don’t still love the ‘old company’, or that you don’t still love their products (or even recommend them) or don’t like the corporate staff that was like family….. or your team you developed….it’s just that at this stage in YOUR life you must follow your own path- whatever that looks like and wherever that leads.

I could never understand it when friends got divorced and found they had to split up their mutual friends! I have seen people take sides and true friendships even completely dissolve. This happened years ago when my ex-husband and his business partner split ways. All of a sudden the “other husband” then forbid his wife to continue being my close friend….and the sad thing is she listened to him. It took me years to get over that feeling of betrayal.decisions-decisions

So why is it that in most any other profession- other than Network Marketing- if you change jobs people wish you well, rather than try to tear you down on your decision? If you are working as a teacher in a school that is an hour from your home, earning $40,000 a year and get an offer to work for a school 10 minutes from your house earning $62,000 a year what would you do? You’d probably take the job with higher pay, closer to your home. How silly would it be to make your friend feel horrible for their decision? or to stop being their friend?divine discontent

One thing I have admired with many friends in Network Marketing is they have built and maintained friendships no matter what company they are with. This means their lives are RICH in ways due to the sharing of ideas with others, championing their successes and staying in touch with those people you enjoy being with regardless if you are their up-or down line!!!! Dave and I call them “Hot Tub Friends.” (People you’d enjoy spending time with in a hot tub, with an adult beverage!)

Now that I have played with this analogy I can see why some people feel like changing companies is like a divorce. It hurts….and it doesn’t have to. I’d love to add YOUR story to that website as I believe it can help many people in THEIR journey!5I3I6962_pp20x20
